  • Blooming heck Buffster.......................Wooo hoooooooooooooo:beer::T

    I have applied in the past and OH got back just over £2000. Wonder if it's worth another crack?

    Trouble is I have no idea who I had loans/CC with as it was quite some time ago :o At least 10 years since I had my LBM so the debts would be before then.

    Congratulations Buffy, excellent news and no envy from me.

    I can't claim because I have been refusing to have insurance on loans for over 30 years - my then husband was due to be made redundant and we were reading the small print to see if we should pay off the two loans we had with his redundancy money. Well first I got mad because being pregnant meant you couldn't claim (I had just had a baby). What was worse was that being pregnant was in the same clause as losing your job because of alcohol or drug addiction.

    In the end we paid one loan off and kept the other and claimed (had to wait 6 months before it kicked in). When OH went contracting we had to set up our own limited company and the 'self-employed' clauses kicked in. We were actually employees of our limited company which meant I got maternity benefit when our third child was born but by then I had got the message that PPI was a bad idea.

    This next bit sounds a bit nuts but I feel like this money is meant to remind me that things can change. I want to write that it is sign! but that sounds bonkers.

    I needed a drink before writing this post!

    what I mean is I forget that things can change. All things about possible. As I often tell my kids if you want something badly enough you will get it. It is the wanting it that is the key.
