    cant the police even tell you if the person if local to you - i.e. in the same street or town etc?

    I too wouldnt be as patient as you, something would probably have been done to it by now if it were me.

    If you're not going to move it, at least block the drive with locked gate/car and make them come cap in hand to explain themselves...

    I remember a news story of this happening to someone else. They got alot of press coverage & a relative of the car owner read the story & contacted the owner who got the car moved. It turned out the car owner had been told they could park outside a friends house whilst on holiday & they got the address muddled (it was in the early hours of the morning & dark) & parked on someone else's drive by mistake!
