I came back from Holiday to find an unknown Car parked on my drive!

Called the council, who told me, as it’s taxed and on private land they can’t do anything and I should contact the police. So I went along to my local police station who told me the exact same thing and I should go back to the council!!! :(

    What can I do? (Legally)

    Many Thanks

    This could be fun....

I hate to play devils advocate here... but what if it's a neighbour who got a new car and knew you were away and either thought you wouldn't mind or that it would be safer if it looked like your house wasn't empty?
Anyway bet they'll come and try to get it by the end of the day... will be interesting to hear their "excuse"...

contact the dvla they will give you the details of the owner for a fee of about£3 but you will need to explain why you want it as they do not just give out details for any reason.

When you say driveway, is it a single parking space by the side of a house? Please describe what the parking space looks like.

Before doing anything rash make sure it isn't someone you know or a genuine mistake on someones part.

You can trace owner details via DVLA I believe.

Ring the local paper and get them to run a story on it !

You could take a photo and post it on here ...

    'Is this your car?'

    'Free to a good home'

Choose whichever heading best suits mood! x
    Gone ... or have I?
