Great scan Heavenleigh, I only wish that we had such things in the 1960s when I had my two DD's .All that the midwife had then was a cold metal trumpet that was pushed onto your tummy so she could have a listen to the heartbeat.
I think technology is wonderful and to be able to see that tiny baby swimming around in your tummy must be a great thrill. As you are in such an interesting condition, I will let you have a drool over 'Brad the Beautiful';)
I have had a lovely day pottering about with my pal and making some early Christmas cards. We had a very healthy lunch of salad ect followed by melon & strawberries.
My DD and DGS arrived halfway through with his exam results, and he has done well and passed all 10 of them with flying colours and much jubilation was abounding in JackieO's house :j  :D .He celebrated by having a huge bacon sarnie with lashings of Tommy ketchup (his favourite). My DD just can't stop grinning she is so pleased for him as he has worked very hard over the last two years .He is off to college to start his 'A' levels next month,he wants to be a journalist

I am all packed up and ready to go on Saturday so I am going to have a bit of a sit-down and put my feet up for the rest of the evening.:D

Tomorrow I have to go back to the clinic for some aspirating of the site, but after that I will take my DD to lunch as a bit of a treat for her for ll the running around she has done over the past few weeks.

Hope everyone has had a good day, take care all,
    JackieO

Afternoon Gang, well I will try again this is my 7th attempt to post today:mad: . So am going to prasee(sp) it.
Went to Tesco with computer man, got puter back. Got home about 9:45 plugged it in, worked for about 15 mins.
Next day first thing took it back, walked right into the eye of a huge storm(buisnes parternership breaking up etc etc) my poor little 'puter rihgt in the middle of it.(cant say too much as there is solicitors, trading standards and police involved  NOTHING to do with me directly) Got it back last Friday only to find tiscali disc wouldn't work. Got disc today. LOADS of emails to clear. Will take ages.
Did ask Cat(Cattie 1) to let you know- can't find it will just duff her:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: (that is a JOKE)
Things still interesting here. Friday was dreadful. DH went upstairs to pack. Then changed his mind. Whatever. Have filled 4 large A4 pads with thoughts, feelings and plans.
Sat was MUCH better. Was on way to have a wash arround 7:35, knock on door. Went down ot find a delivery man holding a huge black and white box. Stunning flowers(Lillies and Roses) from dear Cattie.
Delighted to see JackieO is back with us and sounding so great. HeavenLeigh so glad your scan went well. Love to all. I have missed you all so much.
Will try to catch up with everything. HUGS to all. Have a great evening. A XXXXX

    Hi Guys

Just a quick one just now from me. Late home from work, need to put washing machine on and haven't even started the spag bol!

Had a quick squint at you all today. HeavenL so glad the scan OK (as you know I have had this with my DD pregnancies 2 and 3). It does leave you on tenterhooks. Thanks for sharing your scan picture. My baby albums start off with copies of DGSs scans! I too remember the dreaded trumpet!!

Glad to see newcomers - welcome, hear stories about school uniform shopping (glad I am past that but no doubt involved next year when DGS1 starts school!), hear the other good news. Sorry to hear of those who are not so good. Congratulations to all who got their exam results today. Whatever the marking, if they did their best - well done!

Off to Perth (via my sister in Dundee) to see Mum tomorrow. She is to be in hospital for a few days, was the news today. She was still on a heart monitor this morning and more news late afternoon once consultant had been round again. I will phone my sister later for an update. Ward Sister said she was in good spirit when I phoned.

Will stay tomorrow night with DD, SIL and boys as I was going to spend the day in Fife on Saturday with them anyway. No point in coming all way home tomorrow night to go back over the Bridge again Saturday morning.

Can I ask you regular ebayers a question please? DD has just discovered the joy of selling and has offered to sell stuff for me too. We are putting my wedding suit up for sale as I know I will never wear it again!!! Where do you get your packaging materials for posting off? I have gone round office today and got some Jiffy Bags (unfortunately not too big), some brown paper and some parcel tape for her. Any help on this gratefully received.

Hope to catch up again later.

    Love and hugs to all.

Edit: I didn't half end up with a big post for just a quick dabble! Where is Racyred - I haven't seen anything this week from her now that I thought I was keeping up with folk.

  • Back again, been over to see my friend, jsut got there in time to pick her up from the bus, she had been into town...............cuppa, piece of apple pie and a chat, then settled down to sort out some programmes for her on the computer.then home for corned beef salad with apple and blackberry crumble to follow washed down with a glass of very nice merlot.............

A nice sunny afternoon, nice and warm too....tomorrow another visit to the lottie to collect anything thats ready and do a few jobs, we need to clear out the shed and have a tidy up ready for next season. The drying beans have been very disappointing, the french and runner beans have done their usual good job, I love the french beans when they are young and tender, from garden to pot witihin a few hours, delicious......................

We have about finished the lettuce just one of the french ones and a few little gem left......... the celariac is doing well, I am looking forward to that, I love remoularde...........might have to bring a pot home next week...........

Need to go through my UFO's and sort out one or two to finish, christmas table runners almost finished now, so I can get on with my own christmas project.......and some levander to dry for bags for the wrdrobes and airing cupboards.
September grocery budget........trying for £80, not sure if I will make it though!!!!! I certainly did not last month, lost track of the final bill. Will do better this month honest.

    Tesco £57.13
    Petrol £10.00

    Hi again

A wee update. Phoned Perth RI and asked for the ward, got a really nice Staff Nurse who updated me and then asked if I would like to speak to Mum, so I was actually able to speak to her!

Upshot is that her heart is working at 40% of what ever reading they have taken. She has to have a pacemaker and is waiting for a bed to become available in Ninewells, Dundee. Fine because my sister is there. Probably early next week for procedure. I am off up to Perth tomorrow and I will take time next week for when the procedure happens to go to Dundee.

    Hope you are all OK.

    Evening all
Granny, I bought a roll of Greenhouse insulation (bubblewrap) from B & Q & it's loads cheaper than buying small packets from the P O.
As to other packing stuff, I was given 100 triplelayer post bags, so I don't buy anything else. A lot of the stuff I receive is wrapped in black polythene, which I assume is binbags.

When I had DS1 in 1977 the hospital had just got a scanner, I had 3 scans & no-one could work out what was baby & what was placenta, it was funny trying to work it all out, by the time I had DD1 four years later, they knew what they were doing.
    Hugs Hester

I don't sell on eBay, but do buy DVDs (mean to get on and sell on the unwanted ones - one day  ). I'm amazed that they nearly all come in brand new Jiffy bags - I'd be happy with a used one. I advertise them on Freecycle and get lots of takers. Maybe you could do a *wanted* post
