Just done a huge post and got kicked out at the last moment

Just a quick one now as dd is waiting to go out

Good luck to Leigh, an those getting exam results today x
Jackieo you really make me laugh with your spirit and wacky sense of humour. :rotfl:
Welcome to Jacksmummy you will soon be addicted.

Frogga dreams like that are horrible, poor you sending hugs,

Had the dreaded school shoe buying yesterday (dd does not go back till 5th sept) we normally argue all the way round the shops with her wanting something high healed and trendy, and me wanting comfort and practical, for walking to and from the train, but it was a miracle :j third shop we went in we found some dolly shoes which she loves, but really sturdy though, hush puppies which should see her through the winter what a result.

any way better dash will pop back later
    xx
  • Morning (well just about),

I have been very busy the last few days so I have been away. Been very good with the shopping budget, trying to use up things we already have and only buy what we need, not what we want. I even had my sisters two children with me in sainsburys and managed to get them to share a bottle of water and chose sweets that were in a 3 for £1 offer so we all got a treat.

As the weather is so wet and horrid today I think i'mm try making some soup to warm us up. Need to have a quick hoover, I cleaned the living room yesterday and one of the naugty kittens knocked over the yukka plant at got soil on the floor.

OH is taking our £2 colection to put on credit card later and I have some vouchers to sort and use. I am going to get a small photo album as suggested in the Boots thread so I can see them all better.

Anyway have a lovely day everyone.

    Love Purplgirl

    Hello everyone.

I've actually been here for 2 hours catching up with the daily postings, in between peace negotiating with a neighbour who'd put up barbed wire to stop kids getting around the back of his property. They're not my kids, although they're not doing any harm, but my kitten's scratched herself on some of the wire. We've agreed that the kids should be discouraged from coming in, but in a kinder way so that the cats don't get hurt. If I see the children later I'll try and explain to them how they can hurt themselves on other people's land. In the meantime he's put up a temporary wooden fence and taken his barbed wire away. Result.

Apart from that I'm stripping the bed today and there's one wash only (I'm keeping on top of it) already on the line. Big cat gets her 2nd injection at teatime then I'm off to the hairdressers. But I seem to have lost most of the day already.

Good luck and best wishes to everyone who needs them today. I think I need a nice cuppa ...

ds1 passed all his gcse's he only got E grades but that was all he was expected to get after being diagnosed with dyslexia last october but it was enough for him to go to college to become a mechanic
    so I'm chuffed for him

  • I've just got the following official looking e-mail saying that I'm entitled to £210 rebate. It' a fake, (I checked on the HMRC website) so if you get one please don't fall for it.

Thought I'd post it on here, after someone's credit card was fleeced earlier this week.

JuliaP...glad that the gloom is lifting a bit, good luck with your GP appointment
