Morning everyone
Oh what a lazy start to the day, I've just got out the bath and I'm sat here in my towel
DD's having brekkie, and then she's getting her hair washed (she hates that and I'm such a meany mummy).
WM is on, and I'm hoping I can get it dried on the lines, because the next load is towels, and I'm afraid that I do dry these in the TD as I can't stand cardboard towelsI need to iron the load that dried yesterday, and then I'm going to clean the bathroom.
DD and I are going to have a knitting session later this afternoon - a kind of learn with mother  Except it will be more like the blind leading the blind :rotfl:
Need to pop out and get some milk later, hopefully I won't buy anything else.
Have a great day everyone :TSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Morning All
Hope you feel better soon Kyle
Good Luck at the hospital today Kyle & JackieO (((hugs)))
Had a big lie in this morning as didnt get home till gone 1am. England game was great even though we lost - the atmosphere was brilliant. Only problem was we right at the top and OH got vertigo! Managed to swop a seat with a nice man. Coming out and getting on the tube was interesting to say the least and DS kept being squahed by people on the tube but we all got home in 1 piece. The next one we are going to is lower down and is a daytime match so that will be a lot easier.
Am tired but have so much to do today its scaring me. Need to clean house from top to bottom and start food shopping for our party on saturday so am off to Makro and Asda at somepoint. Have decided on a buffet in case the weather isnt nice enough for a barbeque - weather forcast looking good but why would I trust that?
So just going to finish my coffee, get dressed and get started.
Have a great day.0 -
MrsM., I'm doing a 25th wedding sampler for one of my sis's - got another to start right after. (They got married 6 weeks apart) I design and stitch them. And dont' tell me about having more kits! I've got 2 large rubbermaid containers full of kits; some i've had for years. Also got a map of Canada to finish, had that one years as well; only got a corner to do on it.
I have a stand and I find that helps immensely in how fast I work.0 -
Morning all................(((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) if you need them.
Just managed to get myself out of bed and washed my hair, another bad night last night, was still awake at 2.30am, but did not give in to getting up and posting on here.................
I am going to my sewing friend this afternoon, OH is not playing bowls but as secretary has some letters to deliver so he is going down to the bowling green on the bus.
Its a bright morning but feels chilly, the autumn is on its way......we have had a huge crop of blackberries from the adjacent neglected plot. I picked more yesterday to take this afternoon........and there were still lots of huge berries left. I do not have room for anymore in the freezer, have to leave space for next months shopping.
At Mr T's yesterday picked up smoked bacon 16 slice packs 2 for £4, we like smoked bacon....find it tastier than unsmoked......one pack in the fridge and one in the freezer. The bag of goodies for my friend is hanging on the door handle so I do not forget to take it with me..........I am really good at walking out the door and leaving things I want to take behind.
Cleaned the kitchen floor last night and ran the hoover over the rug in the sitting room, will have a big clean up before we go off next week.
I looked on the eurotunnel site yesterday, the prices are in for next year, so I have sent off for my tokens from Mr T. £27.50 will give me £110.......so I will have to put £11 to it..............no probs............
Off for a coffee......see y'all later...............September grocery budget........trying for £80, not sure if I will make it though!!!!! I certainly did not last month, lost track of the final bill. Will do better this month honest.

Morning all, and welcome jacksmummy
Grey here too, but not raining yet.
Have a lovely time in Norfolk Jackie, and Pink - hope you enjoy your well deserved holiday. It's surprising what difference a good haircut can make, isn't it?
PenPen That cake site is lovely, and the little cakes are beautiful. Personally I'm not surprised at the prices, and - sorry OS - I don't think they are unreasonable in the circumstances.
<stands on soapbox>
They use the best ingredients, must maintain an enormous stock of the sprinkles and decorations (and we aren't talking about a couple of tubs here), and pay for the packaging etc. In addition, they have their overheads to cover (plus time taken sorting out orders, wrapping, shipping, calculating tax and paying salaries, paying an accountant), and they have to come up with the ideas in the first place. It's easy to copy, not so easy to be the one coming up with the innovative ideas.
Finally, don't forget that the people that are buying these cakes want something that looks professional, so there is probably a lot more care (or skill?), than knocking up a batch of fairy cakes, splodging on some icing and shaking on some sprinkles. This all takes time, and these people are running a business.
<gets off soapbox>
WM on, just a quick tidy through today. Need to do an inventory of my cake cupboard so I can see what fruit/alcohol I need to buy for this year's cakes and puddings.
Off to the gym in a moment.I've been saying that since 9 this morning, but I really mean it this time.
Dinner tonight is Lamb Tagine with couscous. I;m reying to eat through our stock of "ready meals" (made up from extra portions of previous meals), as there are quite a few in the freeer now.
<<hugs>> to anyone who would like one or who needs one.
Have a good day everyone0 -
Hello everyone - just jumped the computer quickly before DD2 gets down to monopolise it.
All the best to those of you who have doctors or hospital visits today and Good luck to all those awaiting GCSE results.
I am dashing round trying to get everything ironed and packed for my cruise tomorrow and also for kids to take when they go on holiday with their Dad - DD2 is still refusing to go but that's another story...
My friend Maria and I are going on a mini cruise from Southampton sailing on Saturday (but we are driving down tomorrow and staying overnight in Winchester) and returning on Tuesday. It will be the first time I have had any kind of holiday since husband ran off with the footballer's wife nearly 6 years ago.
Talking of dreams - I had a dream about a boy I went out with when I was a teenager and who I haven't seen for 25 years and it has made me fancy him again IYKWIM - I even spent an hour googling him - how scarey is that??
Will get back to the ironing mountain now (((hugs))) to all that need them and have a great day.Jane

Thanks once again for the very warm welcomeG.C July £21.09/£1000 -
Dishwasher is on its second load and two full loads of washing are out on the line.
Have cleaned cooker hob so place looks a bit better - still trying to catch up on yesterday when I did not feel well. If half a day of being a bit off colour results in chaos - what would happen if I ever got really ill! eek!
Four Amazon parcels to be posted later and need to pick up my prescription from the doctor later as well.
Three daughters have now been in the shower so I am still in p.js waiting for my turn.
Will take youngest into York later for some school stuff and have very little veg, milk or bread in the house so may dash to shops as well if I can fit it in.
Hugs to everybody."This site is addictive!"
