Good morning all,
Kyle - Hope you feel better soon
Pink winged - Have a lovely holiday, your hair sounds lovely! I always find that the tricky bit is trying to recreate it yourself.
Heavenleigh - Good luck with your scan, i'm sure that everything will be fine.
FBThree - I've stayed at a hotel on Cleeve Hill, was it the Rising Sun? The food is very nice there. Hope that you manage to find the right paint soon!
Early morning in the Alibob household, dd woke at 530, she's dozed a little since and is now chatting but doesn't seem to be moving too much so i'll leave her to it for a while!
Had a lovely meal with my friend yesterday, will be my last night out in a long time though, it was nice to get home at the end of the night.
Saw the consultant yesterday C-section is booked for the 12th of September! Just 2 days before my 5th wedding anniversary. It doesn't actually feel anymore real though, hope that it will soon, I do still have a few things to do, Hospital bag still not packed!!!
My Dad is still continuing to do well, all drains and tubes out now and on a general ward. I spoke to him yesterday and he sounds find although I do think that he will be a bit down when he gets out and the shock of it all hits him, I'll do my best to keep his mood high. He should be out on Friday all being well, I was thinking of making a batch of soup for him, i'll be checking out receipe's soon.
We're having lunch with a friend and her 2 little ones today, she's told me that I will be sitting down and she will be running around after the kids which sounds lovely.
Dishwasher emptied, washing machine on and small clean shih-tzu allowed to snuggle up to me on the bed, normally not allowed but she's feeling a little neglected I think.
Breakfast - cereal and toast
Lunch - at friends
Dinner - quorn thai curry
Have a wonderful day all, good luck to all getting gcse results today0 -

Good morning everyone! Trying to decide how to spend my couple of hours before the Small Penguins are up. For the last week or so, I've spent it sewing, but the waistcoats are now finished :j :j Hurrah!! Will take a pic later, and show you all. Will have another cup of tea, then a browse *on the wires*.
Kyle - hope you feel better soon.
Heavenleigh - good luck for the scan. I had similar to you, too, and know what a worry it is.
Pink - enjoy yor hols! Wish I could have 6" off my hair and it still be long  I'd be bald
DD was doing her homework yesterday, so relieved the stress by baking. She made coconut macaroons (really easy recipe - only 2 ingredients :T ) and a nectarine brulee. She used out blowtorch to make the sugar topping, and that's in the fridge for tonight's tea. She also made 12 muffins, to decorate and photograph for an art project. She's been inspired by this site - do take a look (and at the scrapbook) - cakes to die for and only £20/dozen   We're in the wrong job
Going to sew on DD's Guide badges - love to have a needle in my hand
Good luck to everyone getting GCSE results today, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Still loved, still missed and very dear

Yup that would be the one! It's changed hands recently and they're trying out new menus. Nothing actually grabbed our attention straight away, but what we ate was ok, although we were a little surprised at the prices! Might put it on our "special occasion" list rather than a "shall-we-just". Why is it, if you have a lovely meal, it's always the last or next-to-last bite that has the gristle or dry meat in it? :rotfl:0 -
Morning all
Hope everything goes well Leigh.
It's chilly here today & breezy, so far I've done the packups, taken hubby to the station, fed the visitors, got soup going in the SC & a loaf in the BM & the washing is on the line.
I may try to finish the rest of my filing today as I should have a few hours uninterrupted by visitors, I need to spread it out all over the living room floor as there is so much of it, though I am down to the last of 3 huge boxes.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Hugs Hester

I wouldn't have said that it was special occasion food, perhaps they are going more upmarket? They probably won't let me in next time!
We have family in Gloucestershire and stayed there last August, we had a lovely room but were woken at 3am by a huge water leak coming through the bay windows, it make such a noise it woke our dd who was 18 months at the time, the 3 of us spent the rest of the night laying in bed not sleeping and not wanting to put Isobel back in her cot or she'd wake the whole hotel up with her screaming! They didn't charge us for the room which was great but we were so tired! I would rather have had the rest.0 -
Good Morning all!
PP, those fairy cakes are just different coloured icing with different sprinkles. Nothing hard about that so I don't know why they charge so much - a4 year-old could do them.
Leigh, will be thinking of you.
Got neighbours coming over for dinner; got to make the panna cotta, will let you know how it turns out - hope better than the trifle! Also making stock and soup too.
Foot is bothering me today; the ball of my foot hurts, not the toe??! *sigh*
Plumber coming the AM sometime as well; he may have to get the panel off, we couldn't.
Almost finished the x stitch yesterday, will definitely finish today then I'll post a pic.
GOod luck to the GCSE people today!0
