doesnt matter too much if or when you appealed as these are in the IPC and are unlikely to cancel the parking charge notice (lets call it an INVOICE)

when you print out and sign and send an appeal by post, you take it to an actual post office, pass it to the counter staff and ask for a free certificate of posting

they will give you this certificate proving you have posted the letter, for free , its your contractual record of having posted a letter to somebody, with their details on the certificate

because you have already appealed online, this free certificate of posting (by Royal Mail) for your initial appeal is no longer relevant

if the PPC give you the IAS option, you could appeal online , but they are unlikely to cancel it either as its a kangaroo "court"

this then means you will receive hassle , letter demands for payment and threats of court for 6 years under the small claims court system (a bit like you see on Judge Rinder, on ITV1)

so settle in for the long haul, as this will run and run for the next 6 years, they hooked you in and will "waterboard you" for the next 6 years over this so called transgression

I have moved the words for free in the above quote to give the correct context.

(Given the OP's apparent struggle with this whole process, he might think he could post the letter for free). :)

thanks , I meant the actual posting certificate was free, but he will either have to put his own paid for stamp on it, or pay the counter staff to put one on the envelope instead (its not freepost unless the PPC had a freepost address, which they never do)

so the OP will have to pay for a stamp at some point, but he must not just drop it into any postbox as he will have no proof that a letter was posted

as the OP has already appealed on line, its no longer relevant anyway

the OP appears to have no lifeskills whatsoever, its as if an alien is in our midst ;)

nope, its not an offence so will never be a fine

its a civil court, not a criminal court

its an unpaid invoice, if the judge finds against you he or she will state a figure that you must pay within 28 days, this is the judgment
