Yesterday the cat decided he wanted to break into my EF with a trip to the vets

Luckily he's not seriously ill and the vet suspects a round of antibiotics and painkillers will do just the trick, so not the fortune it could have been. Normally I would try and absorb the cost of the trip into my monthly outgoings, but unfortunately due to an spendy month I needed to take the cost out of my EF.

    So £583.34 + 63p interest - £68.30 vet bill = £515.67 :(

At least I had money set aside for the vet treatment, my monthly SO has yet to go in for May, and the cat is recovering well, so I'm perfectly fine with this spend :)

  • Hello, may I join you?
My target is £5000. Might be a bit ambitious, I am in the process of moving, but whatever is left I'll put in the pot. I have earmarked a FD regular saver account (6% interest) for this. I intend to treat it like a debt and throw every spare penny at this fund. :)

Please may I join? Goal £3000, total to date, £150. Seems pretty hopeless, huh?

I would just like to say, I think cats are more important than money; much, much more important. You can't buy love but, thank goodness, you can sometimes buy health for your furry friend. Good priorities, -Selene! You will catch up. :)

Thank you so much, Helen and thank you, Dobbi. You were pretty much my first respondent on here. Been getting the emails for 8 years but only started posting a few weeks ago and I might have stopped but for the kindness and patience I have encountered. Means a lot, Dobbi, guys.

    Hi all,
£20 for me this week. So that's £50 now!

    Hope everyone is doing well.

And smodlet- that's a great start! I'm only at 50 and some weeks don't manage to add anything but it doesn't matter as long as it's going in the right direction in the long term!!
