If you are putting £10K into a clean e46, then the way to preserve its value is to nurse it like a baby, maintain it to the highest standard and ideally have it maintained by BMW or a very good, well respected specialist.

Take one out and treat it as a daily runner and it will cost you a lot money to maintain and / or you're more likely to hit big bills.

And since when is ESP not "a toy" but Tyre Pressure Sensors are?

And if you want to include options like BMW SatNav you will realise that the Focus can be specced to park itself.

And no an E46 is not a superior machine it contains pretty old technology, albeit very good for the time it was built.

ESP by the way is also found on early 2000 Honda Civics - it's just a traction control technology. And yes the E46 M3 traction control is miles ahead of the Focus. It had a bloody LSD but oh wait the Focus has ESP!

The only things the E46 doesn't have which the focus does is iPod connectivity, DAB radio, electric parking break, self parking feature. All pretty pointless features IMO maybe except iPod connectivity but this can be bypassed via Bluetooth. I'm pretty sure the E46 M3 has a bunch of things that Focus doesn't have and let's not even get into things like quality of leather etc.

Fact is fact the E46 M3 > Focus. Case closed

Any topic turns out to talking b####t about his fantasy cars (like this thread). That wouldn't be so bad. This guy turned out complete idiot, when he had a go at different forum user, who just wanted to ask about DS3 lease (taking a p##s, that he should think about a having a house mortgage, when the forum user said, that he has a house, DM started to have a go, that he makes things up and he must be a spoilt woman). It just showed, how twisted he is.

Just learn to ignore his b#####t. Problem solved.
