Glut of new (DM101) posters.

Is anyone else sick of the glut of newbie posters who head straight for the motoring section and post looking for advice.
I'm sure that the majority of them are some incarnation of Darkmatter 101. Can't the mods log his IP address and block all of his different persona?

Agree something should be done.
But I bet your thread gets taken down first
DM or whatever it is today is a strange individual.0 -

Of course they do that.
I'm a mod on another forum and I can see any posters IP address(es)
Some of the more difficult ones travel around a lot and log in using different hot-spots and such.
When you get a spam attack it can be a very busy time.0 -
There are one or two that I have deliberately outed and a fair few that are highly likely.
He really is a pain.0 -
How am I a pain? I do sometimes provide useful advice. Okay here on I won't say a word0

so OP, what has your post got to do with motring, what is your question? or are you just casually spamming this section of the forum.
but im pretty sick of reading threads where other long standing members derail threads going on about 'darkmatter' as if it actually matters, and as if anybody actually cares, full of self importance much?
a new poster posts in this section and a select few pounce on them, even if they are genuine posters and ruin the threads.
these are the people that should be banned, absolutely disgusting and childish behaviour, and I've taken to reporting any post these select few mention such things.
and 'newbies' posting in this section, try googling for pretty much anything, along with adding advice or forum, and you'll likely get a few hits at the top from this site, so its only natural that people post on here.0 -
The thing is Slink.
When you have been on the forum more than a month or so trolls like DM ruin the forum.
The only person that appears to be self important is you to be fair.
Feel free to report this comment if you like.
As you clearly fail to understand that it is DM and is many aliases that make this forum less newbie friendly.
Luckily DM usually gives himself away due to his threads being just that little bit over egged.
Hopefully you will not be on the receiving end of one of DMs abusive posts and stalking.
But hey, you do what you want.
I will continue to put any DM aliases0 -
OP you haven't lived until you have a M3 in the drive. Its motoring Nirvana don't cha know
and the answer to all questions regarding which car a user should buy.0 -
See this is where part of the problem stems from. Not ONCE has anyone on this forum given any sort of credit to the M3. Yes, it may be suited to most people's needs here but in its own regard it is quite a good car. Everyone here just seems to discredit it either by talking about how "unreliable" it is, how expensive it is, how badly it is engineered, it's build quality and the type of people who drive these machines. Why is this? Is it because the majority of people cannot afford to buy an M3 and have a grudge. Or is it because the M3 is really that bad of a car?
It's a good car, however what you need to understand is putting the M engine in comes with a compromise. So what are the real benefits of sacrificing reliability when a diesel or can do double the national speed limit?
Start a thread about it and see if you have a valid arguement for owning one.0
