Thank you for confirming that you have no intention whatsoever to stop morphing, and that you are so self-centred that you think everybody has to listen to your drivel, whether they want to or not.

And therein lies the problem ... DM is an attention-seeker so would never stick to a single forum identity simply because people would put him on their ignore lists.

Did you spot the date on that post? I can't believe it's been a whole year of trolling/nonsense/misinformation/generally ruining this board. Surely if that doesn't justify more serious banning/action i don't know what does.
  • I'm amazed this thread has made it to three pages. Normally MSE mods are able to remove a 'Please do something about DM101' thread within approximately a nanosecond of its origination, whilst taking days to weeks to ban his latest drivel-dribbling alias.

The problem being he creates new identities and before you know it you've got involved in a thread before someone outs him and then the inevitable M3 arrives on the scene.

Its getting to the point that some are not bothering any more and avoiding the forum altogether, if he stayed as one persona you could put it on ignore.
    I agree.

As a Chartered Engineer who has done his own car maintenance for years I have a lot to offer people who ask for help. But I no longer bother helping people who are new to the forum because its become too tedious.

    That is a perfect example.

Indeed, lets, before you ruing the forum.

Which they are entitled to do; why do you have a problem with it? This is a money saving cite; the majority of the members will be more interested in cheap reliable driving that "the ultimate driving machine".

We get that you like high-end cars like the M3, but is this really the place to keep talking about them?

Plus, comparing spec with spec, a 2014 Focus has way more toys than a 2003 M3. Have a look yourself. It's not surprising, it's 2 generations newer. Look at the stuff on this 64 plate 1.0 Ecotec : http://www.arnoldclark.com/used-cars/ford/focus/1.0-ecoboost-zetec-5dr/2014-%2864%29/ref/arnao-u-257497/

Voice control, DAB, USB, Tyre pressure monitoring, curtain airbags, ABD,EBD, ESP, EBA
Just to clarify I've just looked on the features of the E46 M3 and it indeed does have voice command/control, Tyre pressure sensor, parking sensor with camera (if you opted for the additional BMW sat Nav). All those other things you've listed like ESP etc aren't toys. The E46 is likely to have a much more superior traction control technology compared to the 2014 focus with a proper LSD.
What it doesn't have is the iPod connectivity and DAB. But it comes to a point where these things aren't car specific toys just add ons. e46 M3 comes standard with xeons. This is a proper car feature. I don't think a 2014 focus comes standard xeons. Any way it doesn't make sense to compare these 2 cars in spite of the 2 generation gap. The E46 is still the superior machine.

Does anyone else think we're getting to the point of needing a Sticky to alert unsuspecting users of DM and his thousand other aliases?

I tried one last week but it got binned.

So what year is an E46?

We've already covered this on your thread that's been deleted. Es Ss thought we were sticking to years and engines.

e46 M3 is from 1999-2005. I think from 2004 onwards it received few technological updates and rear LED lights. Body shape remained the same.

Thanks for that but remember what we said about etiquette?

This thread is not about BMW's so best run your own thread.

Just like to add that Herloz is wrong. A 2014 Focus does not have "way more features" than a E46 M3. I suggest you look at the specs again. e46 M3 are fully loaded (except BMW SAT Nav camera and SMG And few other things) and will have a lot more features than a Focus
