I need a new phone so i can email and access the net when out, basically.
But i look at the prices of these smartphones
Iphone is clearly the best.... i did have one of the first ones years ago, but i am trying for a mortgage the end of the year and trying to stash the cash so i would feel wasteful spending more than about £250 on a phone.
But i then think for an extra 100 i could have maybe a iphone 5 s
What good smartphones can give you hot access on the net with all of the good apps like for your bank and health and fitness apps etc.
I get tempted to buy a second hand iphone on fleabay but i am not one for owning others cast offs, especially because i spent £205 on a phone as a teen that i couldn't hear people on when they called me.
I need help
Also, for you more techy ones, if you use the net everyday on the phone what would be the best sort of package for data? As i say trying for a mortgage so will most probably have to have a rolling contract or buy payg data packs to avoid getting into contract debt.

Iphone is the best? Since when?
BIL had the first one and i said i will transfer something to him over bluetooth, nope Apple wouldnt let you do that back then.
Something i have been doing since my old Motorola flip phones. But it seems apple didnt want its users doing that.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Some think the Vodafone Smart ultra 6 decent value at £125.
£2.50 or less to unlock.
Seems a slight variation on the ZTE Blade S6 Lux0 -
I've not tried it but have heard good things from both the Nexus 5 and the OnePlus2 (newer version of the OnePlus1). I'm still using a grumbling old Samsung S3. Its now so slow I wait 10 seconds PLUS for an app to open, whatever the app. Yes it has a 2 year warranty and it's still within this (so will be taking it to be repaired no doubt for the second time- last time, during July this year they replaced the motherboard but made no real difference). I am pretty sure I wont be looking for another Samsung again just so I can avoid the sheer feeling of frustration- I can barely answer a phone call because the delay is that bad!
I would say although I've suggested ideas, try to find out how any other handsets made for the brand compare with long term use. I was hoping to get by with the S3 for a few years but it's looking like lasting within it's warranty would be going some!0 -

I would suggest Motorola Moto G 3 rd generation (2015). It cost 159£ for 8gb/1gb model and 189£ 16gb/2gb model. That are prices on motorola website. There you can build your own phone- color etc. As I know most. People are satisfied with previous two generations of moto g. My sister have 1st gen, and after year and half it works like new, no lags or any other problem. Check some reviews on Internet and on youtube.0

Thanks for the replies, since posting the thread i have noticed others on the forum recommend a moto g and doing a bit of googling some reviewers seem to think it is similar, or better than, the iphone 5c..... which is a lot more pricer than the moto g which i have found on the tesco website for £139 (gone up 4 pound since yesterday it seems) .... which i think is pretty cheap.... for a 13mp camera etc. It is ony 8gb but you can add a memory card to it can;t you to boost it if you need to.
I guess the only downfall is android has less apps but it seems to have the main ones i would use.
I am on the verge of buying the moto g to be honest.
What do people think about the tesco network? Triple credit?
If you top up £10 you get £30? As i will be using it for mostly the internet (comparing prices of business purchases when i am out and emails website stuff etc) and the odd call and text, what would £30 get you in data? As i guess i will be a medium / heavy user?
Can anyone recommend some bluethooth / wireless headphones that don't cost the earth too?
I don't want to be an Isheep anymore hahah0 -
I use Tesco network, very pleased great service
Big advantage...........You can easily put a cap on your contract
According to 'WHICH' mag one of the best0
