Thinking of going to NY Oct/Nov this year for my wife's 40th. Can anyone help me with where to get cheapest flights from Manchester?

    Thanks in advance
  • Remember the New York Marathon is November 2nd.
This will probably affect flight availability, rooms, and the cost of both!

do some searches and tell us your cheapest price, then we can see if we can beat it.. exact, or near enough dates, and length of stay does help too!

remember.. markymoo airlines do do chartered flights, and todays cost is £25,000 per person.. a bargain really.. ;)
  • Hello,

I am interested in travelling to New York (from London) for a long weekend around July but the flights seem really expensive at this time.

Just wondered what is the best way to get cheap flights? Am I better of waiting until a couple of weeks before I want to go in order to get a good deal?

I only really wanted to pay £250-£300 but I’m getting prices more like £350-£600!!!!

    Thank you in advance.

Firstly.. thank you for a nicely detailed post.. take note moneysavers, this makes my life easier, as we ahve a date - july, an airport, london, and costs that Lee has already found.. woohoo...

july is summer holidays, and the prices do creep up... £350 is probably going to be around the cheapest..

however.... drag your holiday forward to June... flying on the 26th June, back on the 30th June, you can get it for £296....

(direct flights from Heathrow) air france (probably a code share)

thats the best i can do!

There's some fairly cheap fares here on sta travel from London, some are for students/ youths but I think most are open to all. Start at £199, but I think you're more likely to get fares from £250. Until 30th June.

    Hello everyone

I would really appreciate some help here as I am getting more and more frustrated...

I would like to take my 17 year old son and OH to New York and maybe Washington and Boston for about 7 nights during early July, hopefully flying from Belfast. Flights are coming in at about £800 or more from Continental.

Any advice on other Airlines or how to source cheaper flights etc please...

    Many thanks in advance

    Could you get to Dublin?

Direct flights with Continental are from £564 each to New York.

Is Manchester a possibility? Fares from £506.
