can anyone help ive spent hours looking for a cheap hotel in new york to no avail
2nd to 9th april 09 twin room any help/advice appreciate budget about £4000 -
7 nights for 400? wow.... hmm..
help, i really can't offer, but advice, i'd say you need to reasses your budget.. there really hasn't been anything in new york at £57 a night for over 8 years...
You're really looking at a minimum £100 a night for NYC..
cheapest i can find, (quickly) is about £587 (Latham Hotel), but it is a double bed, and a shared bath..
you might be better of looking for a hotel in Jersey City... maybe Queens, to get something within the small budget you have. I seriously doubt you'll get anything for that money in Manhattan0 -
Help! I am so out of my depth here... or perhaps I am just brain fried after trying to sort everything out
I'm off to NY for a 10 day tour of NY/Boston/Toronto/Montreal in Oct, its a competition win (lucky me) - as a result though, it's not budgeted for, but I don't want to miss out on the opportunity. I'm arriving the day before the tour starts and need somewhere to stay - the tour will be staying in hostels (whilst in NY its Hostelling International), but that first night, on my own, I really want a private room, and somewhere safe for a total US virgin.
It has to be cheap, clean and safe, any suggestions? $249 +tax seems a popular low rate, but thats £150 yeeouch!
Thanks
an excited but nervous never travelled on her own before female0 -
whilst not a hotel - I have managed to obtain a 3 bedroom apartment in queens (15 mins on train / bus transport to centre and 5 mins walk to it) for $670 in total for 4 nights.....
if interested can pm details...:j0 -

hmm... i don't know exactly what day you want the hotel for, which makes if difficult to help, but it may be difficult to get a hotel for less than $200 a night, especially at this kinda short notice... booking hotels in advance gets the cheapest rate..
my suggestion probably would be to use priceline, and see what you can get through there.. do a quick forum search, and blindmans guide is invaluable
