That reminds me, during one of our 700'ish trips to macys one of the natives tried to push a cd on to me outside, i tried to be polite and say no thanks then in an attempt to suck me in he said "you're english hey alex ferguson is a w@nker" luckily my good lady also heard this and stepped in front of me before i had a chance to tell him what i thought of him and what he could do with his opinion about english football.

I guess these little moments are sent to try us, mind you i did notice someone in a chelsea shirt buying up all the I love NY mugs, i guess its the only chance they have of getting their hands on a cup this year.

what kind of hotel do you want. Do you want to stay in Jersey, or Manhattan?
If the latter, you can't go wrong with the cosmopolitan hotel, it is reasonable, and a great location in TriBeCa..

and as for not being able to find details about baggage allowance, it is on the continental website.. Clicky...
    https://www.continental.com/web/en-US/content/travel/baggage/check.aspx?SID=FC3410648F4948E3BE9E6ED25EAA7828

seat pitch.. well.. you'll be flying on a 757-200, so on the continental website... clicky...

    or seatguru

You can fly from Bristol? That would be cool for us. Is it just continental, as we want to go either October 08 or February 09.

You certainly can. We've done it four times now and it's very convenient :)

Continental fly daily (?or maybe six times a week?). Plane leaves BRS at 9.25/10.25 (depending on whether it's winter or summer time) and gets in at EWR at 13.20 :)

We got a plane with seat back entertainment the last couple of times, which was a nice surprise.
