1 more day to go for me Mr Moo, just printing off our spamalot tickets and restaurant reservations etc, trying to be Mr Cool but inside im more excited than an excitable thing, dont worry I will think of you as im tucking into my steak at blue smoke or watching the outside boradcast of the yankees game at bryant park.

i come back now, with the relief that i'm just earning loads of cash from a new website i'm designing, and contemplating taking another holiday this year to new york... muahahaha!

Never been to America before so it'll be an experience to remember! Not sure what else I should be booking though....we've got our money sorted (plus a Nationwide card), NYC Pass, Legally Blonde booked. Should I be booking restaurants?!

Oh muhahahahaha yourself. Got my dollars today from the Post Office, she luckily wasn't annoyed when I asked for $100 in one dollar bills. :rotfl:

hammy... i'm tempted to set up, when should i buy my dollars, and make it a subscription based website. A One off fee of £10 to join, and then i'll send out a random email once in a while telling people to buy their dollars...

i think with the amount of people on here asking that question, i could make a killing..


retepetsir - if you want to book some meals, you can do that now, check https://www.opentable.com for an online booking system. last time i went to NYC, i booked 2 meals for a week stay, before I went, and also used it to book maybe one more on the day I wanted to go to that restaurant.

Also, it is useful to book things online, as you can adjust the time... one day we were about 2 hours away from our reservation, and just wern't hungry, so we shifted the meal about an hour later.. it was easy to do!

LouBlue - $100 in singles? are you insane! what do you need that for?


I find $20 bills spend just as well and take up a lot less room..

food portions are a lot bigger in NYC..

of course not.. i ate more, but didn't reserve, as small pub/restaurants don't need reservations!
