This one is direct with the owner - www.collectionofresidences.com - it has been mentioned a couple of times on trip advisor in the forums. I found it on holidaylettings.co.uk I think.

being mentioned on tripadvisor, as a legal rental, or an illegal rental?

just asking to be honest. as if it is perfectly legal, and the owner can sublet (which is very rare) even I might be interested in staying there next time i go to NYC

It's not been reviewed or anything on trip advisor, just mentioned on one of the forums.

Are there any questions I should be asking of the owners?

At the moment I've got no doubts about booking and plus the price between two families is brilliant.

So why is renting out your house/apartment illegal in New York.

I've found another really good one also www.frogvoyage.com - there is an apartment for up to 6 and an apartment for up to 9 but he only does Saturday to Saturday - it looks fabulous.

cheapest days to fly, for a 10 night stay is the 26th aug with US Airways, changing at PHL...

if you must go for a direct flight... you're looking at £392, on the 25th aug, or the 1st sept... with continental..

hope that helps... it should do, as they are both considerably cheaper than you've already found...

    all prices are from MAN

anyone flown LGW to NYC on AirFrance?

I hate flying on new airlines, so what kind of service have you gotten? what's the entertainment set up like?

It's the cheapest I can find for Aug 20th for about a week (£352ish)

    TIA

i've used airfrance... but they don't go a Gatwick - JFK route direct, it would be a delta codeshare, so you'll be flying on Delta metal...

entertainment on the delta planes isn't AVOD, but the service they offer i found one of the best!

if you're changing at CDG, and actually flying on AF metal, the service is passable, but i found on the return flight, they have the temp a lot warmer than other airlines, which i found unbearable!

    Hi
I am going to New york in October for the 1st time. I would like to know if October is a good time to go regarding Sales as summer is over and also the weather? we going to go in December at 1st but thought it may be too cold.

Also other than Centry21 does anyone know of any other stores like this that sell discounted designer items?

Thanks in advance for your responce

i've been in october once and the weather was wonderful... glorious sunshine, 20-22 degrees c....

i'm not sure about the "sale" prices, as whenever i seem to go, there is always a sale on, and the prices are always better than the UK anyway...
