Oh really well thats even better.
Are you aware of any other shops like Centry21?
Century 21 is kinda unique, someone once called it an organised jumble sale, its also worth having a nosey at tjmaxx, which again can be a tad hit and miss but worth a flying visit.
all the best

I am looking to go to NY in September 24-29th (these dates can't be changed as it is for a wedding.) Direct flights (am travelling with a 2 year old) are currently £350 which I am thinking are a bit high..
Anyone any idea when they might come down and to what sort of price?
Forgot to say that we can travel from either LHR or birmingham0 -
I am looking to go to New York at the end of October for 3/4 nights, I just wanted to know if around £700 is enough to get the flight and hotel for one person or would it be more??
Just a rough estimation is all I want, if that is not enough have much should I expect to pay roughly?0 -
Just looking for some advice.
I have just got hold of a nationwide visa debit card - is this defo the one where you withdraw cash in the states without getting charged ? if so, what machines? can i also use this in shops free of charge ?
Also, has anyone got a decent itinery they could post ? im going for a week, and trying to plan my trip now. not too sure what to do out there!0 -

Where are you flying from? I tried some dates in October and there are direct flights from London and 4 nights accomodation within your budget. Much will depend on what part you want to stay.
We are going (2 of us) from Edinburgh and managed 5 nights accomodation and flight for £640 each - if you are going on your own then it is the accomodation that is the killer as hotel rooms are priced by room. Last time I went (April) there were 3 of us (girlie trip) and we got flights and 6 nights accomodation for £590 each (plus got cashback from quidco on top)0 -

Thanks for that, I am going with 2 other girls, I just wanted to know a rough price for the holiday.
I would ideally like to fly from manchester and we would like the hotel to be quite central to main shopping streets. I will look at those sites you mentioned thanks.0 -

we stayed at the Salisbury Hotel on 57th Street and going back there (have a look at the reviews on tripadvisor) you can do direct flights from Manchester 29th October - 2nd Nov (4 nights) at the Salisbury for £695 each or £750 each for a suite (we had one and it was HUGE - bigger than my first flat - 2 double beds in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room - which we didn't bother with - plus kitchenette etc) All expedia - and remember quidco for another £75 ish cashback (total not each)0 -

just before i go to sleep.... if you look at the following stores
bloomingdales
saks 5th ave
macys
century 21
there is no way on earth you can get a hotel near them alll at the same time... on the basis of they are all in different parts of manhattan...
c'mon people.... stay at a hotel you like, and then work from there... most places are less than 15 minutes away by subway... even from brooklyn most things are only 20 mins away...
maps.. they are wonderful things..
ok.. now i need sleep
