  • Also forgot to say that for those of us out there with the bladder of a nat and need regular Loo stops they are few and far between, but if your near any hotel they are required by law to let you use the Loo and don't forget that Apple shops have restrooms too and they are lovely and clean (plus you don't need to buy anything!!)

there are plenty of places to eat in the Whole of NYC, which are only a $2 subway ride again...

and then there are plenty of chain fast food places, if you're skint!!!! when you're there, just wander the streets, or do some searching on

menupages.com and opentable.com and you can see what proper restaurants are there, and if they are in your budget!

Agree with Mark, just find your way around, loadsa places to eat and by far the best and most memorable are when you stumble across a place.
Will say though, don't go to bond's (under millenium broadway) it was thoughly disappointing.
Cafe edison is good fun though, it's in an old theatre so great character, and has a "new yorky" feel because it's not a chain.

How did people get back from NY to the airport?

I'm taking a taxi in as there's a fixed price and I think the first glimpse of NY should be in a cab (if we skip the toll;)), but not sure about getting back to the airport...

    londondiva..

you can use any other method to get back to the airport, however, for convenience, i either take a taxi, or book a car service..

with JFK airport, it is a flat fare both to and from Manhattan now (before, it was only to!)

depends which route INTO new york you go, as to whether you pay a toll or not. If you're staying at the cosmo (i'm right there ain't i!), then ask your driver to go to

"chambers and west broadway, via the brooklyn bridge"

there is no toll on the brooklyn bridge, and as the taxi passenger bill of rights says, you can go either the most direct route, or the route specified. IMO, via Brooklyn Bridge is probably the most direct route..

    hope that helps..

Hi guys, any airlines got any special discounts on at the mo, for paying with mastercard, or phoning up whilst standing on one leg?? :D I know AA have 15% by paying with mastercard, but their fares are too high to start with.
I'm looking for Thurs to Tues in May, ideally 15th to 20th. From Manchester.
Noticed that air france are cheaper for the delta flight, more than willing to do something like that, and if i could get a bit of discount anywhere all the better.
All i ask is that i prefer a direct flight back. Allthough, if it were cheap enough i'd reconsider.:o

Probably the only way to get an indirect flight out, and a direct flight back is with either BA, or Delta. (BA - MAN - LHR - JFK / DL - MAN - ATL - JFK for the indirect legs)

What do you consider cheap / affordable anyway?

£345 is available for 1 change in AMS each way..
    £371 is available direct Delta.

Personally, i'd hold fire and keep looking, something cheaper might crop up in the next 3 - 4 weeks, with it then being inside the 3 month window...
