http://www.radiocityapts.com/ - I tried to book it but it was full for December when I wanted to go :( (even after phoning to try to persuade). I think people book them them cancel last minute if they find a different deal - the cheapest place I found when looking to book was direct with them...

  • I have booked my first visit to NYC for my family of 5 in April, flying from Leeds & Bradford to Newark and have rented an apartment in Midtown. Found it a bit daunting as I am a bit of a technophobe - but all booked and confirmed. Now have been told by a friend that I need to complete personal details, passport numbers etc before we fly and I cannot find any details on the airline website....please help ...Thanks in advance Georgie

Well according to orangecountychoppers website, where they tell you on the front page the opening times, they are located at:

    1019 state route 17k
    montgomery
    ny
    12549

    Opening times:

    Mon Sat 9am to 8pm
    Sun 9am to 6pm

As far as travelling goes I used google maps and according to that from the empire state building to their shop is 82miles.

    All the best

Hello, I am planning a trip to New York for me and a friend in January 2009.

Dates are not that important but something like 6th-13th/7th-14th January 2009 perhaps. (Feel free to try different dates).

I have never been but I assume it will be better to get accommodation separate from flights.

    I need help on

    a) What price am I looking at? I found a price of £840 for 2 people including tax.
    b) What about accommodation? Something 3+ preferably.
    c) Preferably from Glasgow, UK although a 1 stop (London) will be accepted.
    d) websites to check? I tried ba and opodo.

Thanks for the help, looking for cheapest price.

i don't think you have to worry.. your passport details will be obtained upon checkin and passed on to the relevant authorities along with your personal details that the US Gov need for you to enter. If your flight is booked, and you have your e-ticket number, there is no need to worry.

If the airline needed any more details, they would contact you.

Travelling from Glasgow, you could easily get a better price nearer to the time. £420 is quite expensive, especially for the cheapest month of the year to fly to New York (IMO)

There is a thread on the MSE board that tells you loads of different websites to check, other notable ones are

    expedia (for flights and hotels)
hotelconxions (for hotels in NYC, charged in $)
kayak (for searching a lot of flights to find the best price - maybe)

Also, go to page 1 of this thread, and check out my guide to booking an NYC holiday.
