My experience with this company has been a total disaster - Ordered chest of drawers and 2 bedside tables - first delivery - 2 of the 3 items were rejected due to very poor quality - second delivery (had to wait 6 weeks) also rejected due to very poor quality - items had misaligned panels and a hole in the back! this company obviously has NO quality control, as no-one in their right mind would have let this go out to a customer (Even the delivery driver admitted that there had been load is quality issues)- Aftersales experience has been the worst I have EVER encountered - Don't believe their 7 day refund guarantee - They will not refund until the furniture is picked up (this means yet another day away from work to wait in for their couriers!) - And they cannot as yet give me a pick up date - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE think twice before ordering anything from this company0

Hi,
I've just taken delivery of 8 chairs and the oak table (with the free mirror). I'm not fussy but have double checked everything and all of it appears to be absolutely fine. The only niggles I have is that:- the delivery was nearly an hour late. However the delivery guys pre-phoned me to apologise
- The so-called sales are virtually on all the time, so why call them a sale? I know certain other companies do this, but it does peeve me.
- Some corners on the chair could have been sanded more. They aren't rough at all and will certainly not splinter, but they are slightly sharp.
- APR Rate if you fail to repay in the interest free time is rediculous. Okay it's not like the pay day lenders and it's simular to most other companies, but nearly 30% is still rediculous, especially when BoE is 0.5%.

I am considering buying some furniture from this company- has anyone had any recent experiences? Thanks0

Yes i have and was a little bit worried after reading some of the comments. All I can say is super service all the way through. I received emails, telephone calls and texts re delivery so if you like it go for it. Oh and the sideboard looks better in the flesh so to speak than on the comp0

Hi bought a number of items from OFL. Mahogny items turned up from India and were of good quality. The mango side board however was from Indonesia and packaging was terrible. When you think all returns must be in the original packaging this was nearly impossible. Very poorly packed. This may also of contributed to the broken and snapped draw runners inside the unit, general scratches etc. The wood itself feels cheap and is not as thick as the oak and the mahogny.
Customer service was swift and they required photos and an explaination. As we were not impressed by the overall quality we decided to use Martin's sales of goods act responses, which had a very quick response and reply to have the goods picked up. The pick up took 7 days to happen and they will send you a reminder that if you are not there for pick up (DSV is the delivery company) they will charge you £35 aborted pick up fee. Guess what THEY didn't turn up, so straight on the phone to find out they had messed up the paperwork at DSV Milton Keynes, straight onto OFL and requested the same reciprocal £35 fee as they had aborted not me. They wiggled and talked about a goodwill of £20, which I turned on them and stated I was acting as goodwill as my hourly rate is £58 per hour (Exec Consult) they soon backed down and immediately dropped me the £35. They picked up the item at the next agreeable date and the DSV drivers were only too happy to complain about how many they had to pick back up that day, four in all! All due to similar complaints, they pick up the items from a storage which are fed by creates. They are annoyed as the items seem always to be damaged. Also be aware if you want the item put into a room they do not feel comfortable with they will ask you to sign a waive form for any damaged caused. My wife and I took the action to cancel all other items on the order in line with their pre-dispatch no fee cancellation policy. We have kept the mahogny which looks good and had no problems.
Hope this helps0 -
It sounds awful, myself I bought the French oak sideboard and as I said it is lovely and service was great. After reading some of the comments it seems to be the mango type furniture that is not very good.0

Would recommend
I went for the Bevel desk and the bookcase- delivery was superfast and i`m really happy with my items.0 -
Ordered dining table, console, bookcase, sideboard, lamp table and (free) mirror
Unfortunately the sideboard and lamp table are delayed 2 weeks but they were more than happy to deliver the rest, its all been perfect, great customer service, constantly kept up to date and delivery was even early!0 -
Thank goodness I only ordered one item from this outfit, I would never recommend their furniture to anyone and their after sales is dire. I had difficulty uploading pictures of a poorly made lamp table so after emailing them to that effect I sent good quality prints by snail mail with no response from them whatever.
It would appear that their suppliers exercise no quality control and that the after sales team seek to evade their responsibility for selling shoddy products. I'm surprised that Phil Spencer associates his name with their's, I wouldn't in his position!
AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!
PS. the joint between leg and side of my lamp table had a gap into which could be inserted two credit cards sandwiched together plus stain faults on side panel. QUALITY CONTROL?!0
