Yum! Love Aromat, haven't seen it in the UK though - where do you get it parsonswife? It is of course full of salt and MSG, so probably not the best option for the OP.

I often use paprika, which is subtle but nice. I haven't tried it with smoked paprika, but that might be nice!

My son once made curried popcorn in Food Tech/Dom Sci/Cookery (whatever they call it these days). According to his teacher, the smell lingered for ages! It was very delicious though.

  • I pop a little bit of lemon curd in the warm pan from just when the kernals have popped. Flavours the kernels beautifully :)

Rather than just throwing salt or sugar over it.

I've never done anything else but it seems like the kind of thing you should be able to do stuff with. Can't find too many recipes online. It seems 99% of people buy microwave bags at great expense!

I love Cheese popcorn when we are in the US but it's not the most practical thing to bring home so I tracked these recipes down

this thread has a wealth of ideas - Ive read the whole thing from start to finish!

Hope this helps and i will merge this later

I have on my list to try - toasted cumin/coriander seeds - then ground up and added to melted butter. I think it was a Rachel allen method - or i could be making some of that detail up......!

Chilli caramel popcorn from smittenkitchen.com is amazing - I get more requests to make this than pretty much anything
