Hey everyone
Payday has arrived at long last, and after the weekend I will be skint again, but I am another day closer to being df.
We've had a busy day today - appointments, post office, bank, pumpkin carving, lunch, shopping, fuel etc. All out of the November budget. One unexpected spend was that I had to buy a new pair of boots. I'd walked all of about 300m out of the car park before realising I had a massive hole in my boots and I was soaking wet.
Looking forward to November, and particularly the end of November
Luckystarr - good luck with all of your plans. Please remember to be kind to yourself along the way.Not giving up

Hey all, so my insomnia triggered by major work dread about going back tomorrow (today!) has struck again. Thought I might as well update on here while I was whiling away the hours!
I had a bonus NSD yesterday and my last bonus will be today as work will cover my lunch as I'm away from the office. So I'll finish two extra days up yay! I met my work friend at ikea yesterday as she moved yesterday so helped her get some big bits of furniture then helped her build it when she got back to flat. Felt very accomplished and she paid me with a vege hotdog from the shop which I love.
One more day then onto November, it's blimming November already eeeeeek!0 -
Morning everyone
Well Andrar, your in good company as I too will be broke as a joke next month and scraping the barrelLuckystarr, good luck with everything
Was very happy yesterday as DD needs a stethoscope for her degree and we were looking at £60.00. HDeeuk had a deal from Amaz00n for 22.00 delivered :j
My son who was in Denmark came back on Thursday and the ex was in the country so he did pick him up so I saved 60 odd quid so that will go towards the scotia and plant pots I need as I still haven't bought them. Sad thing is the money was never extra, just money I didn't have that I had to find if that makes sense! Anyway spending wise I had 6 spendy days this month according to my diary, so I'm happy with that
Well take care everyone enjoy your day and will probably see you again on Apples November Challenge.
Dolly, Thank you so much for a fab challenge and all of your support this month :T:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
The final day of oct and I need to get the chicken off the carcass - reckon there's 2 meals there - and then make stock.
I've enjoyed the meatfree days, dolly, and have discovered I make a yummy hm fish and chips combo, which dh also scoffs down, so we'll continue with that meal
I've not managed any tec-free days, but have been more aware of my usage - hope that counts...!
Off to get dd up.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
lucky - hope you stay on track with all your plans, you sound determined and well organised. Good Luck.
We had a good time at the cinema yesterday, it isn't often all 4 of us go together as DH is usually working. Today the weather is supposed to be dry but dull, I am going to peg the washing out but unless the sun puts in an appearance I'm not hopeful of it drying. We are walking the dog today at a NT place we like to visit, the parking is £3.50 for the day but that should be our only spend.
We will carve the pumpkin today and I already have sweets for the kids that come calling.
I want to say a big thank you to everyone who participated in this month's challenge. I think everyone has done fantastically well, some because they really had no choice and others through will power. At the beginning of each month we get a lot of new people signing up and then never hear from them again, I genuinely believe that the success in this debt busting process is the support of others in the same boat, we have that in spades here and it is very helpful to me.
Have a good day all.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
