Hey all, so another NSD, just one more tomorrow and I'll have hit my target - nothing like cutting it fine! I weighed in and have somehow miraculously lost 1lb?! I think I may stick to this gin diet
Just been catching up on the posts and feeling inspired, now I've got back to grips with NSDs I'm going to use my time off this week wisely to do some meal planning and batch cooking. I think next month I may also challenge myself to do X amount of exercise days too. I currently do a bit with rugby but I think I need to really give my weight loss journey a kick start and I do really need to get much fitter for game days.
Off to flicks laters (got my cinema card) and will take my own snacks. Have a grand day all.0 -
Evening all,
mothernerd - yay for the offer on the house and good on you for taking it and riding yourself of the stress.
apple - what a lovely neighbour you are
dolly - what museum did you visit?
andrar - enjoy your filmwhat are you seeing?
Sorry for my absence last night, I had a visit from the ex and it threw me for six. But, today is another day, and a SFDI have been and done my temping job today and sent in my invoice this evening. I have already spent the money though as I bought a concert ticket for next year for me and paid for half of my sister's ticket for her Christmas present (my other sister paid the other half and we are all going together
)

Nsd 13 today. I was aiming for 12 so im very pleased!
Not much else happened, had a long day at work and i'll probably be asleep by 9!!
Worked out a plan earlier about paying of debt, inspired by everyones talk of budgeting, and plans. Just have to stick to it now!!!Still here..... but working on that!0 -
I love having a plan!
And then being able to adapt it to different scenarios, or cope with unexpected items. Every £x extra means that the MFW date comes a month closer. There are 39 payments left to meet my target, but at the current rate, we need a little over 41 payments. This is where my s t r e t c h fund goes. I am determined to get 'on schedule' and then plan to get 'ahead of schedile'. But dh's company are, once again, muttering sbout redundancies... Plans B, C, D, etc required.
My dear neighbour is in a better state of mind today. She did need more money (and I now have no more to give!) but Step Change are fully involved and the relief is obvious. She'll pay me back in time, I know.
Well done mothernerd on selling the house - what a relief for you. And thank you for the encouragement and advice.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

We went to the James Herriott Museum in Thirsk. I started reading the books when I was about 12 and re-read them every few years, DD is reading them now and it was lovely to see where he lived and worked.
It is raining and foggy here today. Our plans for today are to get some cleaning done, I need to work too and we need to do the grocery shopping.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hello,
not that much to report.
DD is now sleeping through again but consistently getting up at 5 or half 5. But the last few days I made the most of it and let her "help" me (or copy me) with little jobs around the house that never get done like dusting the wooden blinds. So it feels rather productive and not like hanging around for 3 hrs before leaving the house.
Refined a well planned christmas list and started looking things up on the net and getting the best deals to be ordered this Friday. Will also get the stuff to make limoncello, cheese etc. A colleague is selling her wooden toy kitchen (RRP £150) for 40 quid and it's in great condition and has loads of accessories. Will pick that up on Friday too. So the kids are pretty much sorted. It all means spending money now but it also means I'm sorted and there are no rash buys in December necessary esp. when it comes to friend's kids etc which are all sorted for under a tenner. I even got a spreadsheet this year with planned gifts/spend and actual spend. The total is a bit scary but considering how many people that covers (minus the ones DH buys for) and how much more I would have spend last year by not planning!
SFD today, lost count but definitely caught up a bit towards the end.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Well done thrifty on your xmas plan. Planning for xmas is proably the only time of year im actually organised :rotfl: ive got notes on my phone which need a password to open, so i write my lists on there. I dread to thing how many people would end up with double or no pressies if i didnt!
I love xmas, and pick things up throughout the year. I cant stand the december queues, and a lot has been ordered online, because taking a two year old shopping just isnt pleasant! Lol.
Back to budget and debt paying planning, i find this really difficult, does anyone have any super tips? I get monthly pay and dh gets weekly, so i cant pay everything towards debt at the beginning of the month as we simply dont have it all then?? Ideally we'd be working a month in advance, but then even more ideally id have no debt to pay!!Still here..... but working on that!0
