Hi everyone
Fmess-Hugs to you! I can so relate with how you feel, last year I had to face up to something that destroyed me emotionally and plodding along at work-the routine of it kept me going. See the crying as your step in the right direction and I hope you see someone soon
Dolly, hugs regarding the job, it wasn't the right job for you and you have not let yourself or anyone else down
Apple thanks for the quote and I hope your daughter had a great time
Welshkitty congratulations on the business,Stewby those plans sound amazing and Andrar thank you for those techniques
Bob I hope your feeling much better today. I had my youngest at home and after 3 hospital births, it was absolutely wonderful and the difference in care was so noticeable. I opened my children up with Natwest childrens accounts. I don't know how they compare to others though.
No real news here other than the boiler has broken down and after using my sons body cream i've come out in hivesNot great but worse things happen at sea I suppose :rotfl: Well have a good day everyone and take care
:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
Thanks traveller, hope the hives go down soon and you get the boiler sorted cheaply
Hugs calling, you've been so strong about your doggy, I guess it's inevitable to come out at some point. I know what you mean about getting the right OH, I'm now determined that if they're not perfect for me then I'd rather be on my own as I can manage just fine (and it's lots less complicated!)
Today should be a SFD. Hoping sister will come here for lunch instead of going out and have lots of school work to do. Currently still snuggled in bed under two duvets - anyone else still not having the heating on? Apparently there will be snow before the end of October!LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

fmess im having a fight against the heating! I did switch it on for 1 hour the other day but it was cold and i needed to air some clothes id left out to late one evening so i justified it instead of the tumble dryer. Our house is only 4 years old, so doesnt tend to get as cold.
traveller hope you get the boiler sorted soon.
calling it was indeed a good day to be Welshdh is paying for it this morning though.lol.
bob youre doing amazing, im surprised you can see past the nappies and milk and other baby things for long enough to post, never mind worry about debt. You're doing fab!!
As for me, nsd 6 yesterday. Need to buy some food today for lunches, i dont have the money really but could pull some out of the od account im trying to pay off and pay it back on tues when dh gets paid. dd has wanted packed lunch the past few weeks for school so i dont want to end up with nothing here and start having to spend £12 a week on lunches again!
Sorted the clothes for thecharity shop yesterday, so i'll get those sent down this week.
No other news here i dont think. Trying to sort the house and everyones clothes slowly. I think we could have clothed a few more familes with the amount we had! feels so much nicer going in my wardrobe and knowing i actually like everything in there!Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Morning all.
traveller - hives and a broken boiler, what a day!!
Fmess - the heating hasn't been on at all yet here but there have only been 2 days where the thermostat has had a reading below what I would have it on at anyway.
LSD - the price of school lunches is very expensive imo, I think they should either be free to everyone or £1 for everyone.
DH went to Asda last night to get popcorn and spent £7:eek:, he came home with beer, onion bhajis, samosas, dip, crisps and popcorn. I was not very impressed.
DH and DS are at DS's football now and DD is out till lunchtime then she is riding this afternoon and she is supposed to be meeting her friends at some point too. I'm going to drink some more coffee then get dressed and do some jobs around the house.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Morning everyone
I have been reading but not posting - sorry about that. I'm afraid that I'm another one that is struggling to balance my priorities at the moment. There seem to be a few of us feeling frazzled at the moment, so love to all of you and hoping that things pick up soon.
I've had a spendy couple of days unfortunately - vet bills again  - just over £100 between Friday and Saturday. My budget is tight, and my emergency fund has been cleared out since June with no time or opportunity to build it again. I happily admit that I've pushed hard to be df for Christmas, and that I booked us quite an expensive break between Christmas and NY at Centerparcs (this was after an absolutely horrific Christmas last year and my 'brilliant' idea to make some new Christmas traditions), but I wasn't planning on the cat costing quite as much as she has since August, and I certainly wasn't planning on dh choosing this month to have another breakdown... Still, I've made my choices - I just have to cut back elsewhere this month.
Hoping for nsd today apart from petrol which is budgeted for. Then batch cooking for the week ahead this afternoon.
Have a good day everyone and hugs to everyone that needs them. Not giving up

I think that self-imposed DFdates are the toughest! Because if/when you realise that you simply cannot meet your deadline, there is the added sense of letting yourself and others down.
So to all of you who were hoping and planning and working soooooo hard to be DF by the end of this year, and know that it won't happen, please be kind and gentle to yourselves. Every one of you has come such a long way in your debt-busting journeys. Ccl - your cat has cost you more than the remaining amount on your dmp. Fmess - you are footing all the bills by yourself now. Bob - you've produced a sproglet. And all the others who are struggling - do take a moment to look at your journey so far and to be proud of each and every step and achievement.

Afternoon everyone
Sorry have been awol for a couple of days due to family being up. Had a lovely time but nice to get the flat back to ourselves. Managed a couple of NSDs so now up to 7/20.
Been to the supermarket today and got the weekly shop. I got a good YS haul including a wee roast for tea tonight, gf bread, rolls and muffins plus normal bread and rolls for OH. I'm making some soup which will go with the rolls for lunches during the week.
Got some ironing and mending to do this afternoon plus will start making christmas cards. But first will read back over everyone's news.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.9.25 - £106,033.77

Evening all
Fmess, are you my husband? *hug* I know I've said he's a teacher too, he had a bad time of it this time last year and ended up leaving his job to go to a different school. He's still on antidepressants though, and finished some CBT recently that he said was useful. It's so ridiculous though, that a job as important and vital as teaching can have such an awful impact on your health. I really hope you feel better soon.
Back from the wedding and very amazed to report that, due to the abundance of free food and drink there yesterday, I didn't spend anything! The wedding was beautiful and the driving was only a minor inconvenience. Home now, and both of us sound like we're full of coldI'm on a course this week so I have to buy train tickets every day, but I'm making packed lunches and taking bottled water with me so I'm not tempted to buy something at the campus. Meeting a friend for coffee on Tuesday but I've got oh-two so will get it for free. In spite of feeling rubbish, I think I've got this week covered - ready to get it done! Hope everyone is doing okay
Bought my first house in 2014 - now, to be mortgage free!
