Crazy cat lady hope things turn around for you soon.
Fmess kept myself so busy this weekend have no time for the idiotic men I seem to attract. My house looks lovely for it I just need to master drilling next. Who needs men lol. Prefer a doggie anyway so loyal and understanding.

Evening all! So not a NSD for me, played rugby today (my first ever time as prop, lasted the whole 80 mins so happy!) I had to buy a drink in the bar after but stuck to soda and lime so only £1 spent. Now just to recover from it all, I don't think I'll be walking well tomorrow
Charity bag has gone out on the doorstep for collection tomorrow, full to the brim. I don't expect any more spends for next couple of days as away with work so they'll pay for me, yay!

Evening all,
Thanks for sharing your yay or nay regarding the heating. After asking the question, today has been rather chilly here! However the heating has remained off and I've worn my thickest hoodie and had a blanket on the sofa this eveningI've set the thermostat so that the heating may come on for an hour tomorrow morning if it's cold enough, so we'll see if the heating gets triggered - it's supposed to be only 6 degrees overnight tonight.
Well done on all the SFDs everyone. I lost mine to a Sunday lunch at the pub and confided in my sister about the counselling and my melt down on Friday. She was surprised but very supportive.

I used to be one of those, but after more than 14 years down south, have turned soft! (but nowhere near as soft as dh...!) I look back to my days in Sheffield, living above the snowline in a house with no heating, and wonder how I did it!
But I do miss the snow...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Checking in for yesterday as i didnt have a chance last night.
Dd's birthday party went well, had to spend but she's worth it, and it was a triple party so only paid a third.
Also went food shopping, for some reason i wanted to go to mr.t, but as i was walking around the prices were ridiculous , i havent been there in a while, so i spent £20 on a few offer bits and went to l1dl!! Did the rest of my shopping (£27) there, and got loads! £47 total and the fridge and cupboards are full. I came home and made a comment to dh about the eat well for less programme and wondering where on earth we'd put £300 worth of food every week!!

Hi guys. Hope poorly/fed up people are feeling better today.
The sun is shining here but it is quite chilly, I have a full wash load out on the line so I'm hoping it warms up a bit. DS is wearing his winter coat for school for the first time today, it is a gorgeous down filled coat which was passed on by a friend, most of his clothes are hand me downs from the same friend, their son has lots of quite pricey clothes so it is all good for us.
DS is on a school trip today so I had to spend 95p on juice cartons yesterday as they need a disposable lunch so he can't take his sports bottle.
Not much else going on here, just working, walking the dog, cycling later, just the usual really.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hello, not caught up properly yet after the weekend just noticed that thing about heating. Ours went on a timer @18 C last week. Just to take the chill off (living room can be 15 in the morning. DD (18 mo) has a tendency to take her clothes off atm and it's a bit too cold for that
Once the kids are a bit older again we'll wait longer.
Weekend was blah, the only word a can think of to describe it, just blah. Not really got anything done, but also didn't really do nothing.
The most productive times where when we made a paper plate skeleton to start our halloween crafting and chestnut figures.
Anyway, spending is over the budgets but as I am writing every penny down again this month to see how I am always over budget I am learning sth from it.
So far £217 went on food but the freezer and cupboards are full and i should be fine for fresh stuff till Thur when I might need milk.
£80 went on this month's gifts (3 kids, my mum, a friend's 40th, postage ca £25, cards) - not too bad considering what I would have spend last year for this month. Although I saw the dates in the calendar I didn't really budget for it.
£53 on clothes: socks for me £2 in Tesco, £24 on ebay for two pairs of good leather winter boots for DD, £17 on two pair on jeans for DS, £10 on a clothes airer - again quite sensible but not planned as such but needed
£100 DD nursery deposit, totally forgot that this would be due if she gets a plce
£17.89 treats, stuff - halloween craft materials, wine, snacks
£26.2 a lunch out
I'll catch up properly later, better get some work done and get this Monday feeling overDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250
