Hi all. Aww, baby Bob, hope you're all taking care of yourselves and each other
bad luck with the interview Dolly, I'm sure you'll do better next time (it took me 10 goes before landing my last job, and that was a specialist field so I kind of knew the questions!). You're definitely not letting anyone down x
The heating is onI couldn't resist any longer, the cold was seeping into my bones and making me ache. Won't be on for long though. NSD today, but going to be quiet for the next few days as am at a wedding over the weekend and it's going to be a bit manic (3.5hrs drive to hotel, 1hr drive next day to church and then over and hour's drive between church and reception venue!). Hope everyone has a lovely weekend, see you all on the other side

NSD #5 in the bag. After a shaky start to the month, I feel more in control. Only dealing in cash is working thus far.
Bob - did you have a C-section? I saw that same sunrise today - it was gorgeous!
LSD - great non-use of your cc! I have to remember to use mine, so that they don't cancel it!
Dolly - what a poor way to interview people. Hugs.

I have just read this:
"How will you measure your life?" It will not be by money or stuff. It will be measured in Relationships, Experiences, Love, & Legacy. Look at how you are living and the future you are chasing. Are you doing the right things with your time for your right life measurements? Make the right changes for your family, friends, health, and how you build your wealth. Fix what matters. Forget what doesn’t. Reach out and repair a relationship. Step-up and make it right! Then take a moment to be grateful for what you have.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
That is so cool. And slightly scary when I think how long it took me to get operational.
Please shout if you want any info on health and safety, fire, security any of that or council stuff. I am only to glad to help if I can.
Thank you so much for the kind offer. It's a scheme run by local authority so they offer support and training for anything I need, so I should hopefully be ok. Plus, I think you have plenty on your plate at the moment! Please take it easy, look after yourself, and let other people look after you.0 -
Hi everyone!
Work for me today so no spends. Have managed to cut back on my hours to allow me more time to focus on my shop, which is great news. Just need to get some stock made up now. Calling it's very close to you so I hope you will pop in, but not to buy anything you don't need of course!
Had another house viewing and she seemed genuinely interested and is paying a deposit next week. I will keep doing viewings for anyone else who shows interest in the meantime but I am felling more confident about it this time round.
Little ones off school tomorrow and I have managed to get free tickets for a local steam train so that will be our day out.0 -
Boo dolly, it took me a year to get the job I've got now, so many interviews and the amount of times I heard "oh your experience isn't quite right" or something equally as ridiculous that they'd known from reading my application and CV. Total time wasters, it really bummed me out but all you need is one person to give you a chance. My job now was well worth the wait. And remember it's whether they're right for you two, you're interviewing them as well! You'll get there, and you're absolutely not letting anyone down.
I had to get more petrol today - I think I'm going to count my petrol spends as spend days as it'll spur me on to not spend the other days. So today was a spend day but I shouldn't need anything now till Sunday when I'll need to spend on my rugby subs for our game.0 -
Evening all,
bob sorry to hear that you didn't get great care earlier, I'm hoping that you've got the right pain relief and you're back home now with baby bob
dolly sorry to hear that you didn't get the job but I do believe that everything happens for a reason. That interview process sounds awful and not very helpful to the interviewer either!
lsd well done on not using the credit card
Today was a SFDI'm eating up the contents of the freezer but will need to refill it by batch cooking at the weekend. Feeling pretty down today, think it's the combination of lots of things, some big, some small. I think I need to plan my future and get focused on what I want, where I want to be and what I need to make me happy. Thanks for the quote apple.

Hi all
Checking in after my (almost) tech free day. I just can't give it up altogether. Chalked up another NSD and the dfd is getting closer and closer. It needs to mind you, as dh has had another meltdown and is taking time off work again...
Dolly - sorry about the interview. I am also absolute rubbish at them, and it's so demotivating and really knocks your confidence. I hope the right thing comes along for you very soon.
Bob - hope you've made it home and back to your new 'normal' life.
There isn't a lot to report from here. I just swap my work stress and home stress at the moment. Really quiet on all other fronts. Money is tight, time is tighter. But the end is in sight, which is always fabulous. Not giving up
