Hi all
Well a quiet few days for me, managed a couple of sfds and although I haven't been tech free I have cut down on it considerably, the tv especially as I tend to put it on just for the noise!!!
My visitors are still here so I have been doing a lot of cooking and my stocks are going down at last, thank goodness I had them in!!!
Towards the end of the month I'm away for a few days but it's being paid for so I'm hoping it won't be too expensive, and that I can manage to spend only the bare minimum.
Anyway off to bed now as I'm on babysitting duties tomorrow and I will have to be up early.

the only girl how's your friend?
Good morning all!
Fmess my friend has come out of hospital. All the scans showed nothing sinister, though they still haven't managed to pinpoint the cause, he will be having some nerve conduction studies later which will hopefully help identify the cause. Thanks for asking.
On an early shift today and managed to get to work in the pouring rain. The driving conditions are so bad so please do take care if you are still getting ready for work. Just a bit of a good news from me. Last night the child benefit came through the bank account but since I forgot to include that in the budgeting, I have moved it straight to the emergency fund making the total £1072/£1000. I am hoping there won't be any emergencies that will use it up but at least if and when they do occur there is something to absorb the shock. Having achieved the £1000 EF we can now start the fully funded EF (equivalent to three months living expenses). I have just joined the extra payment a week challenge and I love the fact that it gives me a bit more intensity which I have lost a bit after becoming debt free.
After yesterday's expensive lunch, I have made sure that I have my packed lunch ready this morning. DH and the hungry hippos also have their lunches ready so no spend on the lunch front. Hoping today would be NSD. I have to get milk and onions but I am hoping to use the vouchers that I got from APG so no money will escape from my purse today. Fingers crossed. Third session of our sewing classes tonight, which I am looking forward to.

Welshkitty - glad to hear you at least got somewhere sorted with uni.
TOG - good news about your EF, well done you.
DD is coming home today so the washing machine will be going into overdrive. We need to do a full grocery shop so will be going to Lidl for that this evening.
I have my interview this morning so will be going to get ready for that in a bit. I wanted to check out a better route to get there this morning so I cycled there and back yesterday (I had a list of directions on a piece of paper in my sports bra), it took me 30 minutes to get there by bike and that was with one wrong turn and stopping a couple of times to check my notes so the journey by car should be quite quick.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Congratulations Bob
Non spend days are really rare this month. However most spends are well thought through, needed and much lower than our usual last minute rush spends especially for gifts etc. Like last night I got DD some leather winter boots (atm she's wearing her brothers hand me down trainers). But rather than spending £30 upwards in shoe shop I got a very good pair on ebay for £2 plus postage. Today I will have to post my mum's and my friends presents which I got for way cheaper than anticipated. Tonight I also need to pay DD's deposit for her new nursery as she finally got a place but not till March 28th next year after being on the waiting list for 2.5 years (she's 18 mo old, lol)
Better off and do some work
