Morning everyone :) Bob that food sounds amazing. Although Iwas annoyed with Asdaa's shenanigans, the driver was lovely (in every sense of the word ;)) and was apologetic even though he'd been given mine to do by the driver that broke down. He bought everything into the hallway too and smelled of the most lovely aftershave that left a really fragrant smell longafter he'd gone, which was just as well as my air freshener plugin was out of stock :rotfl:

Everyone seems to be having an action packed day today :T So far me and the little one have been playing checkers, i'm crap and he's been reeling in laughter :o I was hoping to take him out on his bike but my tummy is killing me-mother nature on her way and I hate taking pain killers.. Hopefully, we'll be on our way soon. Well have a wonderful day everyone and take care :)

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Thanks for the tea compliments. I always find having the basics in like garlic, lemon & basil, plus salt and pepper can change any simple dish into a feast. The difference in making truly delicious home made hummus and bland meh tasting stuff is all down to lemon, sunflower oil, garlic, salt and pepper. Tahini makes it smoother but is expensive and non essential. I always think if in doubt start with the most basic base possible and taste, taste, taste till YOU think it's delicious.

Sometimes gentle exercise really helps with the cramps so that bike ride might be a good idea.

The rest all seems fine, could struggle with the tech. .. will keep focusing! Thanks for having me :)

    Good afternoon.

Lazy day here. Spent yesterday working on dayshift (first one back after the bug) and it completely floored me. So trying to recover sufficiently today as I am on nightshift tonight.
    :(

Been a bit naughty but then not been naughty. I was due an upgrade in July but have been putting it off. Come to the realisation that I am paying £37 a month on my mobile and have already paid the blooming phone off.
So... shopped around and found a great deal on a brand new samsung galaxy s6, unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 2GB internet for £27 a month (don't judge me, I love my phone). Still with EE who have the best coverage up here.
OH is currently buying one too as he is also due an upgrade.
On the positive note... got £21 cashback from t0pc4shb4ck and got OH to join up so he also gets £21. I also get £15 for referring him. So not all bad.
    :o

Spend-free day yesterday as working. Not been near a shop yet as not out of pyjamas.
    :p

Might head to the bank before work to sort out the budgets, if I can get off the sofa.
Hope everyone is doing great. Hugs to you all.

Am I right in thinking you are actually saving £10/month, if so that sounds like a good deal?

Totally off topic but I would like to ask a favour of the teachers/people who work in schools. I have an interview next week in a school, it is a job in the Business Office and I would really like to get it, do you have any pointers of things they might like to hear in the interview, I have never worked in a school before but have a ton of relevant experience. Thanks guys.

There are two people who work in our business office, and I don't often deal with either of them to tell you the truth. Only if I need petty cash, or if I call for first aid as one of them is trained, or if I want to rant about health and safety, because I'm the union H&S rep and the business manager is the school H&S bod. I would guess it's your relevant experience that they will be most interested in - I'm not sure what you would do in the 'real world' compared to a school, but there will be loads of organising required, juggling different priorities and dealing with lots of different Heads of Department, and being a bit of a piggy in the middle between them and the Head. Is it a financial job you're going for? Good luck with it.

So today was a blow. I bought the coffees for our event first thing but they didn't tell me the didn't take card until after they'd made them so I had to use my own cash to pay for them. I also tore my leggings and need them for Monday so decided following the spend in the cafe that I might as well get some new leggings. They cost me £3 so I can't complain too much. I also took the opportunity to get my make up on the way home but used my boots points so didn't cost me anything. Then did a top up shop so £12 of shopping budget gone. So a spend day but only £15 and all from my money envelopes so budgeted for.

I don't do business or work in a school but skills are transferable so I'm sure you'll be awesome Dolly, good luck!
  • So far this month I have had 3 spend days but I am determined tomorrow will be my first NSD.

My LBM came when I realised that my main aim in life is to buy a house, after years of living in private rented accommodation with useless landlords who only deal with the minimum of issues that arise I want that security for my children. My credit is so poor that it will take me years to be in a position to even think about a mortgage and probably most of my children will have left home by then but I am a student so no chance of a mortgage anyway yet. My aim is to pay off all my debt, then save the equivalent each year towards a house deposit. Maybe it will be 8 or 10 years but I will get there.

We recently became vegetarian so I will be giving up Pepsi Max which I need to survive so this should be fun.

I have been so busy the last few days I haven't had a chance to post but I will be back daily from now onwards. Good luck to all.
