Good morning all. Again I must thank you all for your kind support. We are starting to come to terms with it, and moving on with our lives. It will be different, but we will cope.
My five for today.
1. Tai Chi on the neighbours lawn, watched Calender Girls again last night, and the Tai Chi scene is very similar to ours, all of us are new to it, and pretty awkward, but its a great way to start the day.
2. OH seems to have beaten his infection and is back at work again.
3. Swimming in our pool last night at 9pm it was 26 degrees, hoping it will be even warmer tonight.
4. Bottling apricots from the tree in our garden.
5. Making mozzarella cheese in preparation for the next lot of visitors due this weekend.
Blessings be

Sending you a big hug kiwiblue, I'm glad to hear you're beginning to come to terms with it. My Mum had cancer two years ago and I understand how hard it is.
1. Spending the morning reading in bed, drinking tea and letting the sunlight stream through the window
2. HM lasagne using up veggie mince left over from last week's burgers and cooking mince pies at the same time with leftovers from the first batch
3. Drying my white wash on the airer instead of the tumble drier
4. Signing up to Love Film free trial so I won't be tempted to buy any DVD's
5. Spending our evening continuing our Cold Feet marathon0 -
Lots of OS here today but none of it very pleasureable. (We have mice again)
Really just came on to say.... Sorry to hear your bad news Kiwiblue. Look after yourselves. xxx0 -
Hi all
Haven't posted for a while. Thinking of you and your OH Kiwiblue.
Here's mine from the last few days:
1. Visiting lovely friends for the weekend and enjoying a lovely home cooked meal with them
2. Walking my kids to school in the ice and frost
3. Seeing my lovely colleagues again on Monday, even though I was really sad the holiday was over
4. Enjoying left over courgette and potato bake and salads for work lunch. Made a nice change from soup
5. Looking forward to a relaxing weekend with OH and kids.0 -
Lunch of rice and peas soup made with leftover rice, this is a regular comfort food for cold days, and so simple to make!
P.S Caterina, how do you make your rice and peas soup please?0 -
kiwiblue - Am a little tardy catching up with your bad news. All our thoughts will be with you and we'll hope for a positive outcome for your OH's treatment.0

1. leftover for lunch, and leftovers for dinner!
2. Leftovers to choose from for tomorrow.
3. Pint of beer with the girls...special offer £2 a pint (christams beer)
4. Getting into my daughters bath after her...she had a lush bathbomb, and candles, lushalicious.
5. Not using the car, and appreciating the crisp, frosty sunny day.Pay off as much as you can in 2012 challenge No. 64: 328.75/2,5000 -
Thinking harder today but focussing on the good things helps so here goes...
1. Waking my boys with hot chocolate this morning because we had no heating last night and it was VERY cold!
2. having a lovely buffet lunch at a work training course.
3. Having our heating fixed again with no nasty bill.
4. Cooking lots of mash from an Aldi 5kg bag of spuds on their 49p deal ... loads still to go!
5. Cooking salmon given to us by m-i-l and having enough left for two days DH lunches and fishcakes with the aforementioned mash.0
