Zarazara, I LOVED the B&S, it is one of my favourite foods in the world and one of the very few reasons why this time of the year is not totally a waste of time for me!

    Here are mine for today:

1 - Lovely bowl of steaming porridge (salty) with toasted nuts and seeds, in bed, courtesy of DH

2 - Giving a bag of tiny baby clothes to the local hospital neonatal unit - they had been given to me by one of my old clients for the mums in prison (the charity I work for) but the prison does not seem to want second hand stuff anymore. Glad I could find them a good use!

3 - Buying a new router and managing to get 10% off because the box was bashed! In fact even without the 10% I saved money by buying the router in the shop instead of getting it from my broadband provider (who would have charged me a lot more than what I paid).

4 - One of the OSers I met in person in Blackheath has offered me 2 tickets to go and see Monkey on New Year's day, that she does not need. Thank you, you know who you are!!!

5 - Setting up and connecting the router all by my li'l ol' self, only needing to call helpdesk to set it up online! Feeling very proud of my techie skills.

    Good nigth all!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
  • 1) Getting to leave work 45 minutes early today
    2) Getting my payslip and seeing the extra cash for overtime that I'd forgotten about
    3) Having time to go for a walk with the dog before it got dark
    4) Jacket Spuds for tea done in the oven
    5) Bed early with a book and a big cup of cocoa and a hot water bottle tonight

1)Finding a forgotten tenner under the couch.
2)Using up some old pulses and making a tasty stew.
3)Taking the dogs out for a walk in the crisp, fresh air.
4)Having a long soak in a hot tub.
5)Working a night shift and catching up on all works gossip with the resident busybody. :D
  • 1. Having a mini declutter in the garage. Doesn't a tidy space make you feel so much better.

    2. Starting to reclaim my house after the silly season. Only the upstairs done so far but it's a start.

    3. Not going shopping this afternoon. Was going to go then discovered the back drain needed degunging. Think I have a problem there due to some building work we have had done. It will probably end up costing a lot more than the shopping would have done:mad:

    4. Finding the bottom of my ironing basket again.

    5. Now I'm going to knit, knit, knit.

    1. Getting into town to get half price gifts for DH's birthday in Feb and a 'Mr & Mrs' game to take to neighbours on New Years Eve for only £1 (including chocolates!).

    2. Getting a bin through Freecycle only days after I promised DH I'd find one to store the pets' food and bedding in in 2009.

    3. Eating leftover HM veg soup with leftover bargain garlic bread (normal price £1.32 - down to 26p!) for my lunch.

    4. Making the tastiest imaginable turkey and bacon pie with leftovers, including the last bit of double cream ... and having it hailed a success by all my menfolk.

    5. Writing a list on the back of a Christmas card, planning our bargain 36 hour break, courtesy of a £19 Travelodge room, £50 Clubcard eating out vouchers and £20 Days out vouchers.

(I hope those all qualify ... it's my first time!)
