Comments
-

2-a nice walk with the dogs
3- TV and nothing to do all day
4-HM curry for tea
5- the company of my DD"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
(Kabat-Zinn 2004):D:D:D0 -
1) Recycling the Christmas pud into Christmas pud and marzipan muffins.
2) Using up some of my excess marzipan (bought to ice my Gran's b'day cake back in September) in the muffins.
3) Making 2 huge potfuls of turkey stock.
4) Christmas lunch hash for tea tonight.
5) A lovely, exhilarating walk in the park with the kids.0 -
1) Having a well-earnt lay-in.
2) Taking stock of everything and realising there's enough food to last until February (not including fresh items)
3) Sitting and going through the items from my food hamper Christmas present and making a list of stuff to make.
4) Going into town, taking a Blu-Ray disc to the checkout and getting it for less than half price (whoooo)
5) Relishing the memories of a tea reminiscent of my childhood - cold cuts, pickled onions, cheese, bit of salad, but hopefully not Bullseye on TV!Continually trying the Grocery Challenge. Gotta keep trying!0 -
1. A lie in to start off a totally no pressure day.
2. A long country walk in lovely sunshine with my lovely family.
3. Coming home to a glass of sherry and hm soup left heating in the Remoska, followed by mincepies also heated in the Remoska
(it's great having two pans) topped with hm yogurt.
4. A v-e-r-y l-o-n-g afternoon sleep. I don't know if it was the fresh air or the sherry but it was bliss.
5. I'm just about to put jacket potatoes in the Remoska for tea to go with salad and I'll open a tin of corned beef as I have no left overs but I love corned beef. Then I think a lazy evening is called for don't you?

1 - Waking up near my lovely DH and knowing that we have a few relaxed days together, no work pressures (both on leave) and no stress!
2 - Finding a fairly local (short bus ride) organised park walk, a nice longish - for me - walk (3 miles) in a park I had always passed with the bus but never visited.
3 - Coming back after the bracing walk in a lovely sunshine and making Chinese soup (a concoction of vegetables, seaweed and tofu with a base of soy sauce and miso) which I had not made for years and found that we still love it!
4 - Loafing in front of the TV watching "Big" and scoffing chocolates, eventually falling asleep - what an unusual luxury!
5 - Looking forward to the Bubble and Squeak dinner made with leftovers from Christmas dinner.
Good night, all! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

Boxing Day blessings...
1. Began sorting out wrapping paper, cards, gift tags etc, almost got enough for next year and will have more than enough with what I collect over the next 11 months
2. DS brought me home a Big Mac meal at lunchtime - he knows I love them but won't buy them myself cos of the calorie/fat content. Yummy Boxing Day lunch!
3. Opened a box of biscotti - gift from an Italian friend - and had 2 with my cuppa this afternoon. Yummy Boxing Day tea!
4. Didn't go to the sales today, I don't want for anything so that's real money saving!
5. Only 11 more days before I can take the deccies down and get back to normality. Not being a misery but I'm fed up with saving the tree every time the cats decide to use it as a climbing frame. Mind you normality for my two is sitting on top of the dining room dresser and jumping down onto whoever's passing :rotfl:0 -
My five for today:
1) Getting our home tidy again; it looks like a bomb site and it's putting me on edge
2) Having the time to take mt lovely mutt for a big long walk. He's only been round the block for the past few days so we all really need it.
3) Having plenty of time to myself. MrS is going to be a grumpy bum today when he finally wakes as he'll have one heck of a hangover so he'll not need entertaining!
4) Having my parents round for tea and cooking an OS Storecupboard 3 course tea
5) Having a soaky bath0 -
1. clearing out both our wardrobes to find space for new clothes we had had xmas presents.
2, giving away 3 large bags of clothes on freecycle
3. one of the ladies from freecycle emailing me to say how please her and her daughters were with the clothes
4. having left over beef 3rd day in a row!!
5. home made soup and croutons for lunch
6. only spending £5 in the sales and that was on a next sock gift set to go in present drawer as a bday/xmas gift for next yr,0
