    Saturday blessings..

    1. Visiting friend and I had a day in for the first time since she arived so didn't spend any money at all!

    2. Watched a lovely film about Santa looking for a wife on the television, a feel-good film with no guns, violence, blood or guts, and a happy ending

    3. Friend vacuumed all through for me while I was taking a bath, bless her.

    4. DD phoned, one of her Spitz took best of breed at Lincoln..said it was nothing to shout about as another one got her ticket at, umm, somewhere oop norf (I can't keep up with them all) last week!

    5. Is this for Saturday or Sunday? Took my friend to M1 Toddington services at 2am to meet up with her husband...he's a coach driver and was bringing a coach-load of people back from a skiing trip in France, so they picked her up on the way before heading to the Lake District where he's based. Lovely to see him again even if it was a fleeting visit.

and knowing I'm not the only one who thinks the best things in life are free...thank you bella

    2. Sleeping in until almost midday after my late night on the Mway, and not feeling guilty about it

    3. Two DF's I haven't seen since I came out of hospital paid me a surprise visit, we exchanged pressies and had a lovely afternoon chatting

    4. DN(eighbour) invited me in for a cuppa and a look through her cosmetic company's reps offers. She's so good to me, always let me buy from it if there's anything there I need

    5. All upside down after the late night and unexpected visitors so DS and I got a take away. The Indian restaurant delivered and gave me a Chrissie card with £15 of vouchers inside - hence the meal only cost £2! Well in fact no, it cost nothing as I was left £20 by visiting friend for petrol etc - wait til I speak with her ;) !

  • My pleasures today have been blessings indeed.

    1. Opening my nice (bought on special offer) M&S chocolate biscuits to share with DD and DGCh.

    2. Going for a nice ride out in the sunshine to a garden centre to see real reindeer. They were beautiful, so soft and gentle. Two were eight month's old and the other two were two and a half years.

    3. Having a lovely lunch at the same garden centre paid for by DSIL thanks D- - -.

    4. Getting home and cooking for DD and family while she had a lie down - hormones you understand. Oh, I'm so thankful to be done with mine!!!!

    5. Putting the DGCh to bed, even though I now no longer have to read DGD 6 a bedtime story as she now reads her own book. I can't believe those story reading days are gone, but it's lovely to see them progressing.

    Monday blessings...

    1. Visiting my DGD on her 17th birthday and seeing her face light up when she showed me not her presents, not her cards, but her driving licence  . Ah, bless her

    2. While with DD and the DGC we watched a bittersweet film about a baby found in a dustbin, that's 2 days in a row I've seen a film with a happy ending. I admit I 'got something in my eye' at the end of this one :o

    3. Went into Mr A to get a few bits, the greeter lady saw me at the end of a long queue and took my basket to the self-service checkout. I hate those things with a vengeance but, with the exception of paying for my shopping ;) , she did it all for me!

    4. Filling up at a petrol station and seeing the number of litres I bought greater than the number of £'s it cost. I know it's been coming down for a while now but only paid 87.9 today :D

    5. Went to my Monday meeting, we had a good one followed by a bit of a pre-Christmas do. Lots of laughter, joke telling, a real _party_ atmosphere and not a drop of alcohol in sight :p
  • This morning I got up to the smell of fresh baked bread (I love my breadmaker).

The first cup of tea of the day (before my son wakes up).

Seeing how pleased my chickens are to see me I let them out first thing.

Getting the morning post - free body butter and a cheque for £15 today.

I love how my cats knock on the front window to be let in.

    Have a lovely day everyone
I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead
