Yesterday
1. Making more cranberry and orange preserve. The large jar I am giving to my flatmates family is a thing of beauty. I tied a black ribbon off a Jo Malone giftbox round it and I think it looks lovely. I am so proud of myself.
2. Hearing the Salvation Army Band play in the town centre esp Greensleeves. If it hadnt been raining so hard with my bags of groceries, I could have stood there and listened to them for HOURS.
3. Getting a goodwill refund for something unsuitable I bought on Ebay.
4. Last nights online chat with a friend I haven't seen in person since May. Such a boost to my wellbeing after recent events.
5. Hearing the rain fall outside the window knowing I'm cosy inside.
6. An evening of mulled wine, roast chestnuts and Xmas Movies on DVD.
Today
1. Cup of tea and porridge with some of my cranberry preserve in in bed watching The Golden Girls.
2. Free stuff - 100g bag of Superdrug Xmas Tree decorations( as we don't have a tree I might gift these to my mate Rowlands little girl) 2 free Quality Street Chocolates(my faves too - toffee penny and toffee finger) from the counter in the charity shop, free Choral CD in MOS with Xmas carols and uplifting songs.
3. The delightfully eccentric Fanny Craddock on UK Food - Mincemeat Omelette anyone???!!!
4. Reduced price Sainsburys Bacon Sandwich with the papers
5. M & S Red beaded Cashmere jumper from £5 from charity shop and an essential cookbook of 400 recipes from the woman who wrote the series of 8 i used to have when I was at Uni for only £1.

Hi all
Here are mine today:
1 - Lie-in until nearly midday
2 - While doing the above, reading "How I Lived a Year on Just a Pound a Day" book, courtesy of another OSer with whom I did an exchange. Thank you!
3 - DD and her boyfriend put up the Christmas decorations in the living room
4 - Putting a lot of leftover decorations up on freecycle for someone who needs them more than we do.
5 - Slicing the 2 oranges (that were sitting unused and wilting in the fruit bowl) and putting them on the radiator to dry so that I can use them to hang on the wood branches that are making up our Christmas tree this year.
Good night all
CaterinaFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
