    Hi all

here are mine for the day:

1 - Walking in the sunshine

2 - Looking at the flowering red miniature rose that my mum and dad gave me more than 11 years ago for my 40th birthday, it is in flower! (I know it is due to weird weather but it gives me such pleasure!).

3 - Bedcover blanket washed and hanging on washing line outside.

4 - Chick peas defrosting for tonight's dinner

5 - Planning an outing to a knitting shop (Iknit, in Lower Marsh, London SE1 in case anyone is interested in visiting it) this evening to meet a knitting group and pick up a crochet book that they are selling reduced

    Love to all

  • mine for today are:
    1. Waking to the sound of the courier van coming down the drive - anticipating what they will be bringing.
    2. Improvising a haybox cooker, and starting my first meal in it.
    3. Discovering that my cherry tomatoes are in flower, so should have fresh homegrown tomatoes for Christmas.
4.Realising that I was trying to tell the dog to stop eating the cat's food - we both know she will never stop trying to sneak in and gobble it up.
    5. the builders have promised me that they will finish the renovations today, so only a couple more days of huge disruption.

    Hi all

Hope you all had a good day, and here are my 5 OS pleasures for the day:

1 - Another dry and clear day meant another load of washing done and dried outside (I am always so glad when I can manage this, as I hate drying stuff indoors!).

2 - Managing to finish all my work in time for my herbal medicine class

3 - Finding in my local flower shop a huge bunch of sunflowers reduced to £1.50 and 2 bunches (of any flowers in that bucket) for £2 (so I got some carnations too)

4 - The aduki beans (previously cooked and now defrosted) and root veg stew is on the fire

5 - Tonight I am going to see my DS play a gig, this is PRECIOUS for me because so far he has forbidden me and his dad to go see him, and this is the FIRST TIME I shall see him play in public, can't wait!

    Good night all

Most of mine revolves around a turkey!

    1. Had lovely roast turkey (got fed up of Tesco's chicken getting smaller and smaller, so went for a big guy!) with all the trimmings
    2. Stripped the carcass and have 4 more meals-worth for the 3 of us to put in the freezer
    3. Boiled the bones and had some nice turkey soup when I got in from work and now have probably 4 good portions left for work lunches and freezer
    4. Put some broad beans into one of my vegetable beds
    5. DH and DD out this evening, so I can have a quick tidy up and then a nice quiet evening to myself.
  • Not been very OS today, went to M&S 20% off bash but only spent £3.40 as I had some vouchers. I bought a jumper, some talc and some hand cream. Mmmm, perhaps that was a little OS.

    Yesterday I:-

    1. Swept up the last of the leaves in the garden.

    2. Enjoyed the sunshine.

    3. Dried the washing on the line.

    4. Looked forward to the spring as next time I do anything serious in the garden, the snowdrops should be up.

    5. Finished knitting a baby jacket from my yarn stash.

    3. Thought of some very cheap but fun xmas presents for DD -aged 4 -she doesn't seem to want much for christmas anyway - maybe because she never sees any toy advertisements!
    4. Made soup from fridge leftovers - bacon, celery and potato -it was delicious
    5. Made some banana muffins which everyone really liked
