    Hiya

    1. seeing the children off to school, on my day off!
    2. sweeping up the leaves in this morning's sunshine
    3. washing sorted
    4. anticipating a 'night in' - going to have a longgggg bath
    5. sorted out the bathroom cabinets - always therapeutic!

    love this thread :D
  • Good afternoon everyone!

    Mine for today are:-

1.Receiving my wine delivery from Tesco, with £10 off a £50 spend.

2.Going shopping at Tesco and getting approx £14 off an £80 spend.
Stocked up on loo rolls, tissues and tinned veg, tomatoes etc.

3.Speaking to DD on the phone. I miss her now she's moved to another county.

4.Sharing a £1.24 pepperoni pizza with OH for lunch and having a chocolate eclair for tea. I won't be eating anything else later and we don't often eat pizza or cake.

5.Snuggling onto the sofa on our new faux fur throws that we got for half price from Woolworths and reading the latest Tesco magazine.

;) Felines are my favourite ;)

    Only one from me today.
Our rescued Icesave savings were finally refunded back to our bank account this morning. That was more than enough to leave a big smile of relief on my face for the rest of the day.
  • Mine are:-

    1. Two lovely feedbacks on e-bay (makes up for the dispute opened without even contacting me to say parcel hasn't arrived - parcel posted Friday) and selling another item on e-bay.
    2. Collared dove waiting to be fed in the back garden
    3. Seeing a goldcrest on the yew tree
    4. a clean and tidy kitchen
    5. squirrel doing the "leap of death" from the apple tree to the damson tree in the back gardem.
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    1. Sitting, having a cup of tea around the kitchen table with my mum and sister and having a good natter.
    2. HM rhubarb jam on toast for breakfast. Yum!!
    3. Having my second (and last) load of washing dried and put back in the wardrobe/drawers.
    4. Washing my bedroom carpet. It's so pretty in there with my bed and the candles, and now my floor looks lovely too.
    5. Preparing a meal for my family and having them tell me it was delicious :j

Many congratulations Primrose, I am delighted for you, I have been there with Kaupthing and know how scary it all is. Good for you.

Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
  • 1) Selling 3 unwanted CD's on eBay ( that's recycling, dontcha know :p )

2 ) Walking to the shops and back - twice !

3 ) Despite it being my day off, seeing at least three of my tenants whilst out and about - and actually quite enjoying standing and making the time to have a pleasant chat :)

    4) Gathering home grown herbs from the garden - bay, rosemary and thyme - to put in my from-scratch lamb casserole for dinner.

    5) Sitting in my rocking chair in the kitchen, with the aromas of the aforementioned casserole gently building around me, mingled with the scent of the cloves and oranges from the pomanders I am making.

  • 1. A much brighter day than yesterday.

    2. Going for a drive with DD and seeing the last of the golden leaves on the trees. "If winter come, can spring be far behind?".

    3. Shopping with DD and feeling happy that she can afford too.

    4. Feeling happy too that even though DD is not 'hard up' she does seem to have inherited some OS frugal genes.

    Morning.

    1. The sun shining
    2. A 3 mile walk to work instead of sitting, or probably standing on a packed bus full of school kids.
    3. My cheapy £12 mp3 player accompanying my walk with music I haven't listened to in ages (OH doesn't like as much rock music as I do ;))
    4. HM Leek and potato soup for lunch - looking forward to that and it's not even 10 am yet!!
    5. The step kids finally commenting (after a whole year) that they liked their packed lunch and can they have the same rolls again (Aldi - so entirely possible ;)) and more mini sausage rolls.
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?
