    Ev'ning everybody

Maintane - what a lovely family for rallying around to help with your cottage .
Kittikins - how fabulous to be able to get your fill of 'kitten cuddles' without actually taking one home. Socialising is so important when they are that young.
cyclingyorkie - the athletics were very inspiring and it's good that your eldest was motivated into joining you all to watch. Was almost enough to make even me take up jogging.
Louba - lol at the earplugs - but shhh, don't tell my OH that those things are available or he'll want some :o.
    kim85 - :T on your freebies and pie-making session!
helyg - wtg on getting the next generation into OS cooking at such a young age. Budding Jamie O on your hands there perhaps ;).
RainyWednesday - congrats on passing your OU assignment :j.
sparrer - welcome back home from hospital - sorry to hear you've not been 100%. Good Luck with the weight loss and pulmonary programmes. Hope you enjoy your friend's visit.
bella - you've certainly got back into the swing of things since your return - that holiday seems to have done you a power of good :).
Patchwork - mmm blackberries from your allotment  and lol at your American visitor - never eaten custard !

Oh dear - my return to work was not a good one.

    1. Was told this morning that one of my tenants had died last week (total organ failure following peritonitis after ruptured appendix) and the funeral is later today (tuesday). Had to visit everybody to collect for flowers. Luckily the florist was able to do flowers immediately for us as she was also delivering flowers for the family as well.
    2. My work computer has had some kind of break-down today, so had a good excuse for spending time with tenants and not on paperwork.
    3. Phone call from DD - two more properties to view tomorrow so OH is going to collect dgs1 (Nathan) and keep him occupied. He managed to get hold of a tin of paint today, took the lid off, poured it all over the driveway, then ran through it and into the house/up the stairs! DD is just about at the end of her tether with his behaviour at the moment.
    4. Defrosted a Lemon Drizzle Cake this afternoon - first time I'd frozen one and very pleasantly surprised at how good it is when defrosted .
    5. Lovely ham and salad for evening meal (homegrown salad leaves).

Oh well, in the words of Scarlett O'Hara - tomorrow IS another day!

nitey nite all and see y'all in the morning. ((((hugs)))) to all who need them - love Ollie xxx

Here's a few of mine before I forget.... (not been sleeping well so have brain fog).

    3. Getting lots of suggestions and help from the forums here, with things to plant in my garden.

    5. Having a 3 mile walk in the sunshine yesterday and it making me feel better after so little sleep - and so planning another today.

    6. Only needing to buy milk and bananas till the weekend.

    7. Still having £60 in the bank when it's only a week till payday - must have miscalculated something

    4) Date and Oat squares and Twinks hobnobs left over from Sunday.

    Evening  everybody

Quite a pleasant day here today :) - though it now looks as though we're going to get some heavy rain tonight.

firstyear - well done :T on coming to the end of your 'fixed rate' - I'm sure you'll be able to find plenty to spend the extra money on - especially with Christmas looming ;).
newlywed - you've not been at the cheese and pickles before bedtime, have you ? congrats on having money in the bank just before payday - great feeling isn't it :).
Blimus - sounds like a great family day out .
Reverbe - Great news about job-hunting - hope it's what you're looking for and works out well for you :).
helyg - wtg on finishing the cardigan :j.
thrifty - good to hear how much you and your family care for each other :).

    1. Put 2 new pillows on the bed this morning - boy do they look high :rotfl:. Will get two more next week :).

    2. Washed and tumbled 2 of the old pillows ready to move onto the bed in the spare room.

    3. We had a funeral for one of my tenants this afternoon - quite a few people turned out to say goodbye to him. His family said how beautiful our flowers were - there's a lovely lady on the estate who does bouquets/arrangements etc from her home, at a very reasonable cost plus she delivers locally as well.

    4. DD viewed a house this afternoon. She said it's lovely (just been decorated throughout) BUT they want £145 Credit Search fee, a month's rent in advance PLUS a security deposit. Obviously the £145 is just dead money that she won't get back either way.

    5. OH took dgd1 (11) and dgs1 (8) out of DD's way while she went for the viewing. The mood that dgs1 has been in lately, the landlord would have barred the entrance to the property :(. They had an afternoon at the seaside - New Brighton - (very brave of OH!) including a few rides on the fairground, a walk to an old fort on the sands and a couple of games of tick on the beach to tire them out before coming back home again.

    6. My Internet Connection has been off all day, but somehow there was a miracle and it was back on again late afternoon - phew!

    7. Evening meal of jacket potato with tuna, sweetcorn, peppers, onions and mayo - very cheap and very yummy .

    8. Have remembered to put some mixed beans to soak overnight. Will do Minced Beef and Bean Chilli with Pasta for tomorrow evening with some garlic bread slices.

    9. A nsd for me (apart from money in the collection plate in church) - though I'm sure that OH more than made up for my being frugal while he was out with the dgk's :rotfl:.

That's me done for the evening folks. Hope you all have a good evening and a peaceful night's sleep (especially newlywed!)

nitey nite all - love Ollie xxx

Sparrer - welcome back, hope the weight loss goes well, can you loose some for me while you're at it?

    Fantastic day today:-

    1. Went to DD's for coffee. Although I see them regurlarly I don't actually go to their house very often. DGK's never stopped talking (both at once) and showing me all their bits and pieces. DGS has done some particularly good drawing.

    2. Took them out for the day to an old haunt of ours which we used to take our children to.

    3. Lots of blackberries around the car park and we just happened to have empty boxes.

    4. While we were blackberrying a very kind man gave us a bag of plums out of his garden.

    5. Stopped at Mr. S on the way home to buy some half price beef.

    6. So glad I had sorted out my freezers last night and so had room for my spoils.
