Hi all.
1. yesterday I resisted the call of a waitrose lamb rogan gosh and trimmings and had a tuna melt baguette with stuff I had in.
2. I had a nsd yesterday and hopefully today (only 7 hours til everywhere is shut!)
3. I've cooked some whoopsied mushrooms that have been in the fridge for a wee, and mixed half of them with light philly cheese with garlic and herb and had on toast-really yummy.
4.I only have 2 name tapes left to sew into dd's uniforms, hoping to get them done later today.
5. I have £10.04 (and 5 cent euro?!) left in my purse and tomorrow is my top up day.July grocery- 24.40/220. NSD-1/3.
Myself, DD, 2 cats, 35 weeks pregnant.

Hi all, here's mine
1. Having a day off yesterday and being glad as it was too hot to be in the office.
2. Helping my mum out during the day - and gaining a gift of a hand trowel (as I cheekily asked if she had more than one - we don't have any garden tools yet)
3. The pain in my stomach (near appendix) having lessened today - now feels more like a pulled muscle. Hoping it will be gone tomorrow or else I'll be off to the doc.
4. Realising I have £10 more than I thought in the bank  and payday is less than a week away
5. Getting my shopping bits to last the weekend and it coming in £2.47 under what I'd allowed for
6. Still having a full freezer and a full fridge in the days before payday - very unusual for me
7. The petrol still lasting longer than I thought so less petrol needed.
8. Having my OH to myself for the evening again - last evening though - stepkids back tomorrow.
9. Going to the garden center and OH actually commenting on what flowers he likes (usually doesn't even look at them).
10. Getting lots of seeds for flowers and veg for 50p at the garden center - ready for next year.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Yesterday/today's
1. Doing a Reverbe and finding 10p on the ground
2. A book I ordered coming in at the library and it's good!
3. A friend's son double-taking when he saw how slim I look now, bless him, he was genuinely surprised and happy
4. Being naughty and booking DD and I on a holiday for the beginning of September, using my staff discount to its advantage for the holiday, the travel insurance and now just off to get airport parking cheaper (I hope!)
5. Buying yet more dented tins of beans and the like at Mr T's...but am going to lock my purse up next month as I don't need any more!! The cupboards are full to groaning again...0 -
1) Getting two airers full of washing into the porch (just) when it started raining
2) Finished cleaning up as DH rang to say he was taking the rest of the day off as his project was finished. Managed to get my hair straightened before he appeared (I do try)
3) Listening to DS and DD singing together upstairs. Somehow, music I don't like sounds different when they are playing
4) Being invited to a birthday party in a friend's garden on Sunday
5) DD's bf got his results and boy, did he do well!0 -
I've already posted my 5 but just had to add this!
I've just returned from the train station and on the car park floor was a ABBA GOLD CD. I picked it up, dusted it and it plays a treat! all the way home in the car! GREAT."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0 -
Sparrer what a lovely positive post, especially no. 5. Curlytop40 welcome, you're off to a flying start.
My blessings for the last two days.
1. Visited (by invitation) friends yesterday and were wined and dined in the grand style.
2. DF cooked everything from scratch and the puddings were to die for.
3. Went to a garden centre and when we sat down for a cuppa DF realized she had lost her watch. We had a scout round and then went to ask at customer services and it had been handed in by some kind and honest person:T:T:T who had found it in the car park.
4. Sleeping very badly after all the excitement but having a slow and easy day today thanks to all the help from DH.
5. Pilchard pie for tea today using up the manky potaotes which I had prep'd, cooked and frozen before we went away.

bellaquidsin now I feel guilty, but it was on the floor, dusty and next to a broken lighter so I assumed it to be chucked out. Nowhere to hand it into anyway at the station and if another car parked in the space they could easily run it over as trash and break it."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0

For yesterday
1 - a guided walk of the historic part of the city organised by work, I've lived here for two years and I've never been to most of the places they showed us
2 - my sister is coming to visit tonight, can't wait to see her!
3 - my friend found out she's not getting made redundant
4 - lovely coffee to start the day
5 - yay it's friday!
2 -Mortgage as at March 2010 £225,000 target for December 2012 £170,000. Blog link http://beautifulorpractical.blogspot.com/2010/07/oh-this-is-all-new.html :j0 -
Hello
Skiving an hour for a lunch break today - usually it's a grabbed sandwich and coffee while running in/out the door .
sparrer - :j on the weight loss - that's MY exercise for the day.
zarazara - hope you and yours enjoyed your afternoon together. I wouldn't worry about finding the CD - big difference between a dropped CD in a dirty/damaged case and bella's friend's watch.
Curlytop - congrats on the nsd- I'm on the name-tape sewing as well at the moment - DD couldn't thread a needle to save her life :rotfl: - I even have to keep the name-tapes in my sewing basket as they'd go missing at her house
.
newlywed - great trip to the garden centre  - I got some bulbs (from Wilkos) for planting now to flower for next spring - fingers crossed they come up.
Kittikins - :T on your weightloss and also on your staff discount for the holiday.
Patchwork - good to have musical kids :T and hope you enjoyed your surprise afternoon with OH. Thanks for the info on Vodkaplums.
bella - good news about your friend's watch.
Louba - isn't it strange how we don't often find time to explore the 'touristy bits' of our own home-towns - makes us look at them in a totally different light. Good news about your friend's non-redundancy.
Mine for yesterday are:
1. dgs1(8) went to the dentist about his damaged front tooth. He went to pieces when he saw the needle that was going to be used - so they decided to send him to an 'anaesthetic clinic' to have the work done - phew! All this is enough to put him off dentists for the rest of his life!
2. DS2 is going camping this weekend and we've been asked to have dgs3 from Sat morning till Sun morning when his other grandparents will collect him till the next day. It was a v-e-r-y l-o-n-g night last time . Will take him out during the day and try to keep him up as late as possible to make sure he's really jiggered when it comes to bedtime.
3. Done two loads of laundry this morning and all of a sudden the weather has turned lousy . Damp washing now on the airer and radiators - typical British summer .
4. Oven chips with salad and smoked haddock fishcakes for OH and King Scallops for me (all whoopsied :j) for tea tonight.
5. Remembered that I'd bought two ham shanks while staying with mum last week and left them in sis's freezer.
6. Spoke to DD and dgd2(22mths) on the phone last night. dgd talking non-stop to me but just couldn't quite catch all of what she was on about - but at least she tries her best to hold a conversation - possibly it was all about what Upsy-Daisy, Iggle Piggle and Macca-Pacca had been doing .
7. BB eviction tonight :j!
That's me done for now - will pop back in again later to catch up - love Ollie xxx0 -
Here are mine for the past couple of days:

5. A lovely sunny day and a fabulous sunset over the cliffs as the carnival came to a close.
