    6. And now we have the house to ourselves again, we don't have to bother shutting loo and bedroom doors any more. (Funny how those strange little disruptions to daily routine make a difference).
LOL I thought it was just Mr LW who leaves the loo door open....:o

    1. Getting Mr LW's help to wash my hair.

    2. Completing enough online surveys to qualify for another £10 Amazon voucher.

    3. Getting the washing dry outside in between the rain showers.

    4. A friend on the Disability & Dosh forum sending me info on how to get a carer-gets-in-free card for National Trust properties.

    5. Egg'n'chips for tonight's dins - which Mr LW has volunteered to cook.:A

Mmmmm - egg and chips, think I'll include that in my holiday meal plan. We won't be having meals out this year because of DGS newly aquired peanut allergy so some nice easy meals will be just the job.

    Today's pleasures:-

    1. A last pre-holiday bake of 3 large loaves, blueberry muffins and the inevitable date scones so the freezer is stocked ready to come back to.

    2. Lovely salad lunch with some of the lamb left over from yesterday's extravaganza.

    3. Making £25 on the sale of my cards:T. All helps to buy new materials to make more cards.

    4. DD and family coming for tea of a big cottage pie and hiving a little one off for the freezer.

    5. DGK's asleep upstairs as they are here for another sleepover.

    Bella.

  • I know i haven't posted much lately, but was upset to read about your detractors Reverbe. It really is sad that some people can't just let people be these days. I do hope you're not too upset nor discouraged from posting about your pleasures in future.
    *hugs*

Hugs to Reverbe, how ridiculous that you have been criticised for what gives you pleasure. I always enjoy reading your pleasures; please ignore the naysayers. I found a shiny 5p today, there's lots of us who do it!

Anyway, my pleasures today (besides the 5p):

    1. Delicious homemade curry tonight and homemade soup/roll for lunch.
    2. Starting the day with a session in the gym.
    3. A short working day - left work at 2.30pm (in order to go to the dentist  - which does NOT figure anywhere in my list of pleasures!)
    4. Visiting my friends' 4 gorgeous felines :D who need feeding whilst their human parents are away on holiday.
    5. A beautiful sunny day (which makes a change!) here in Bristol.
Life is not a dress rehearsal.
  • Sorry to hear that has been some unpleasantness on here - hope you are okay Reverbe

    Mine for today:
1- being able to work from home
2 - tasty bacon and bean soup for lunch
3- delicious FREE samphire with our baked mackerel for tea
4 - laughing with hubby while we change the sheets
5 - looking forward to Lithuania on Wednesday :)

    Morning all,

After a surge of sorting paperwork yesterday, I'm a little tired today. Am determined to tackle a few more of those jobs I've been putting off today.free-innocent-smileys-314.gif

    1. Good day for washing and next load will be out shortly.
    2. Resisting getting a takeaway and digging something yummier/cheaper out of the freezer and storecupboard.
    3. Doing my switching off things on standby before bed.

That's all so far today, have a great day everyone.

I'm another one that does this. Well, it's only tidying up litter, isn't it?:D I may have an unfair advantage though - in the wheelchair, I'm nearer the floor, so have a better chance of spotting dropped pennies.:rotfl:

    Today:

    1. Hand-washed dress blowing merrily on the washing line.

    2. Got my accounts sorted out so I know exactly how we're going to pay for our new bed and sofa (to replace disgracefully saggy old ones, I hasten to add).

3.Seeing lots of tomatoes forming on my plants, which are a different variety from the ones I've grown in the past (Couldn't get "Red Alert" this year).

    4. Home made nut loaf for dins tonight - it's already made and in the freezer, so all I have to do is get two portions out.

    5. I'm not going to go into details about #5, suffice it to say that Mr LW nearly made himself late for work this morning!;):D
