Thought I would quickly post mine whilst having a cuppa before getting evening meal ready. Had a really hectic week and haven't even been able to catch up on what everyone has been up to but hope to have time later tonight or over the weekend.

In no particular order for this week:
    1. Going for a long walk on Monday and measuring it on Google maps when I got home. Actually managed to walk over 10 miles and called in to see my parents and have a cuppa and HM scone that dad had just finished baking.
    2. Going to the funeral of my friend's father yesterday and feeling really proud and moved by the way he spoke about his father's life knowing how difficult it was for him.
    3. Seeing him have the support and lots of hugs from his grown up sons and wife.
    4. Enjoying a lovely meal last night with DH, friend and his family to celebrate our friend's late father's long life.
    5. A bargain slow cooker that I had posted on the grab it forum making it into Martins newsletter this week.
    6. Managing to get some bargains in M&S sale today, OK I won't wear them until winter but better than paying full price when I really need them.
    7. Knowing that I am working from home next week as I have computer problems in the office which probably cannot be resolved for at least a week.

    Have a lovely weekend all.
Will hopefully be back later with more of today's pleasures.

    Hi all

Did not put my pleasures for yesterday so here they are for both days:

    Thursday:

1 - Long day work with the baby, hard work but pleasant, and good money at the end of the day.

2 - During the baby work day I met with a friend in Lewisham (with the baby strapped around my chest!) and she bought me a cup of tea (and I was able to say no thank you to the offer of a cream tea - feeling very virtuous!).

3 - Going home I stopped to pick up something in M&S food and found loads of yellow stickered food, really nice stuff!

4 - Another friend came for dinner and kept me company while DH does his martial arts training.

5 - My friend's gifts of soy sauce and fresh coriander (we had a lovely veg and tofu stir fry).

    Friday:

1 - A few more hours this morning with the baby and a little more money towards a comfortable weekend!

2 - Lunchtime at home with my first client (who is now a long established friend) and her two boys

3 - With the above friend and boys, trip to the park and she paid for a 20 minutes pedal boat trip in the pond. Wet, rainy but lots of fun and laughter!

4 - Back home DD made me tea and gave me two choc biscuits to keep me company while I did my work

5 - It is Friday, good enough pleasure for me, going to spend it with DH!

    Have a good night everybody!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Mmmm wild blackberries, we used to go picking them from the railway when I was little, that brings back some nice childhood memories :) Then my mam would make apple and bramble crumble for dessert after Sunday dinner. Are raspberries easy to grow for a beginner? I'd love to give that a try. Oh, Welcome by the way! Just realised it's your first time here :D I don't have five for today, haven't really done anything, I just thought I'd have a bit of a ramble and a reminisce :rotfl:

Hi Claire Bear, sorry for the delayed reply, and thanks for the welcome! I've done almost nothing to my raspberries. I got 3 free canes from Thompson and Morgan I think, and I had nowhere but a medium-large sized pot to grow them in, and they're doing fine. Just water like everything else, a bit of plant food from time to time (that's what I do anyway!), and be careful you put them somewhere no-one will scratch themselves on the foliage!
I used to love when my Mum made crumble, I should get on that asap... Thanks. :-)

    Today's pleasures:-

    1. Supermarket shop all done, no hastle, really appreciate this as had to do it on Saturday when DH was at work.

    2. Cut down my baking session a bit this week as my hands and feet hurt so much, just did rhubarb pie and date scones.

    3. DGK's came for tea. I made a fish pie with the smallest amount of fish imaginable (I thought I'd got more, that's the third do-lally thing I've done this week) but I added two eggs to the mashed potato and topped with lots of cheese so was happy I'd given them a decent meal.

    4. White chocolate Magnums (bogof) for afters.

    5. DGK's now asleep upstairs. I love these summer holiday sleepovers and so do they.

    Bella.

    Today:

    1. Go for a restful, early morning walk in country park with DH. Just quit my job and never had the time to do this when I was working as weekends were always manic.

    2. Have a coffee together at the country park.

    3. Start getting everything together for my holiday - make sure everything is washed etc.

    4. Make burgers with new burger press my mum gave me yesterday. Serve with my mums home grown veg.

    5. Drink lots of water and lemon juice. Have given up wine now I need to economise (due to having no job!).
