Louba - I do, thank you. You are so right about this thread!

    My five for yesterday

    2. DD1 eating pasta with tons of veg "hidden" inside and saying how nice it was.

    3. A lovely glass of pear cider.

    4. The sunshine - I was expecting rain all day.

    5. Being able to have a lovely shower now that the curtain rail has been repaired.

    Here's mine:

    1. Sitting quietly bead weaving all evening - helps my mind to switch off.

    2. Going online to check sainsbugs value against Aldi prices to see if I can shave anything off the shop I need.... and managing to get £22 down to £15.23 without sacrificing anything (Only have £20 in my purse till payday).

    3. Being able to answer a support call at work - part of my job but haven't felt at all confident about it after being off work.

    4. Sausage eggs and oven chips for tea last night. Easy and tasty.

    5. OH liking the cheap lidl tartar sauce on his chips (for 30p a jar it's fine by me!).

    6. Seeing the yellow rose in the garden as I left for work this morning.

    7. Knowing I've made it through one full day of work and this week only have a 3 day week so nearly half way there! A huge relief.

    8. Hugs from OH this morning.

    9. Someone on a family tree website contacting me and stopping me going down a dead end - the person I thought could be my great grandfather really can't be. Happy to know for sure that I need to do some more searching!

    10. The sun shining - so I may walk to sainsbugs to get my lower cost shopping.

    11. Knowing there are no treats in the house till after payday but that I have a be-ro book, half a pack of stork, and some flour :)

Good morning all, here are mine:
    • only 36 days till my holiday!!! Almost counting the minutes and the hours!!!
    • have finally taken a good long look at my finances and realised that in May and June I spent wildly over what I earned, I was spending £600 per month on just rubbish, internet shopping and the like, but so far ive cut that right back in July, fingers crossed I can keep the momentum until the end of the month
    • with this in mind I am planning to go to my local RSPB centre on the weekend to do some walking and bird watching, went last week and it was heaven!! Only £3
    • my hens are now mingling and not bully each other, they tolerate each other, things can only progress from here on!
    • my OH, always is and always will be, my number 1 blessing in my life!
    • just got my first ever cross stitch magazine, it was a 3 for £1 deal which is good cos the RRP is £3.95 an issue – crazy!! But it did come with loads of patterns and ideas, including a baby sampler which ill use for my BF who has just found out she is expecting her first! Made me want to get frantically stitching!!
    • just got my Michael Jackson refund, and although im sad to not be going it will help the savings to have that money back in there
    • going to London on Friday and doing the majority of tourist stuff for free, seeing the galleries and museums, plus I saved money on travel
    • my OH is a teacher so is starting his summer holidays and has promised to spoil me rotten and do all the DIY jobs that need doing over the summer break!! (about time too!) who said that!
    • just changed desks at work and now my desk is by the window and I have a heavenly gentle breeze wafting over me every 5 mins or so, feels lovely and I can hear the birds
hope everyone is having a good day, getting closer to the weekend all the time

    5. Making the milk last longer so the weekly shop can wait until tomorrow or even Thursday.

newlywed - well done with the stretchy mince and on getting the shopping bill down. Ahh a Be-ro book and a few ingredients - heaven. More of this in my pleasures. Reverbe - good to see you back on form - 11p on the streets in just a few days, how do you do it? It reminds me of when I was little, when we went for family walks in the country, my grandad would go on ahead and sometimes drop a sixpence for me to pick up. I think it was supposed to make me observant. Well I did find 1p a few weeks ago. DH said he wouldn't be bothered, then we turned the corner and there waiting for him was 3p - he bothered! grandmasam -keep smiling, you have got a secret, you have learned not to thrash yourself to death. Could this be the reason you feet and legs aren't aching so much? I know it is working for me, so from now on less is more.

    1. Breakfast with DH is still scoring as number 1.

    2. Cleaned out all my top cupboards in the kitchen.

    3. Unearthed my collection of Be-ro books, I have five, the earliest being one which belonged to my DM and is printed in sepia. It is full of nostalgia and just makes me want to bake and bake and eat. So far I have resisted the temptation. Might take it on holiday though and if we get a rainy day.......,

    4. A lift from DH to Mr. S for my midweek top ups. This was such a treat as it was raining cats and dogs and before retirement I would have been walking. We are trying to keep the use of the car to a minimum but sometimes we have to be kind to ourselves.

    5. Making cards and using up my stash along with the papers and die cuts I got in a magazine. It's making loads which I hope to sell for £1 a time so will easily get back the cost of the magazine.
