:jI've got contact details for another cousin AND their offspring!I'm sooo chuffed & using a well-known web site a little more now with a little less trepidation :p
Managed to get everything except half dozen items washed & line-dried yesterday.
Lush dinner from bits in the fridge ;)
A real life letter in the post instead of the usual bills :rotfl:My friend replied to the letter I sent her last week..maybe I'll have a go at doing a bit more. I used to write a lot of letters but then the phone & now e-mail, have taken over. I like the 'instant' of the other two but it's still a thrill to see that envelope on the mat.

    This did not happen -
21h bus back from Mr T:mad:. Trip was to return 2 faulty solar lights. Next bus is last bus is 23h.:mad:

    This did -
staying in store till chuck-out time, rather than out in wild gusts of rain and high winds, both of which began shortly after no-show bus didn't show.
2nd tour of aisles - MUCH reduced eclairs;), finest peaches :jand cream[for butter making]:j:j
Store shutdown, so outside and sitting on seat, able to see store clock for next hour, but eat eclair, eat peach, eat eclair, thinking how I will extract 5 OS pleasures from this waiting time.
    These are:
1.As just above, grateful for having taken snuggly w/p jacket from car en route to bus; recalling buying said jacket in local SPF in France for 50 cents and thereby summoning happytime mode:D.
2.Thinking, in shelter, tho' cold, that eventually I'll be back, able to write this, warm and dry.
3.Knowing my last-minute discard of book and mob. as leaving was breaking a Golden Rule and being glad to have reminder NEVER to do so again.:naughty:
4.Setting earlier B&Q Lollo Rosso and Mange-tout seedlings[each dessicated tray reduced to 20p] out in rain while I waited.
    5. Feral/local cats came out to scavenge. Most seemed Mummy-ish. All about survival.

Proceed to bus shelter, rain stopped, at 22.50h.
BUT by 23.20h........NO BUS. A passing driver tells me the time, advises me to walk to a Fish and Chip shop nearby; they will call a cab and I will be safer there.
This happens. Cab driver takes me to hole in wall for a quarter of weekly pension which will be the fare.
    It is.
A pleasure: seeing extraordinary late daylight gap in western clouds at 23.50h!
Another: opening my gate - fairyland revealed:j despite preceding dull day.
Pending: Wording the letter which will accompany taxi driver's receipt[copy only, yes, I'll hold the original] to bus company.
Actual: THERE they are!...my secateurs! :TYou must all have had a hand in putting them neatly on shelf. Spent 2 hrs hunting yesterday and had put them on list, but Mr T had sold out of cheapies, so none bought. :rolleyes:Another pleasure?
    ##########
The day has started sunny and I will take late brekkie now down back to look, listen, enjoy.
    Carpe diem one and all!

Hello :hello: everybody - another day and what a difference in the weather!

So many blessings from you all since I last posted.

Well done to everybody who's managed to keep their spending down, their families well-fed, gardens tended to/enjoyed, found time to spend time blessing other people and keep their homes/families well-organised. And (((((HUGS))))) to all who need them.

I was so busy yesterday morning that I didn't get chance to post anything for Tuesday.

    Tuesday
    1. Got to spend time with my dgd2 (Caitlin 20mths) and we hit the charity shops in our shopping centre. Came out with two small cuddlies and a 'black baby doll' that she took a shine to in the British Heart Foundation shop.
    2. Found a never-opened book for my OH in my favourite shop/drop-in place - Dickie Bird's autobiography £1 - OH is a cricket nut.
    3. While checking out the school uniforms in Asda - was told about the special offers they have - NO SIGNS UP IN STORE - boys trousers £4 per pair - 2 for £5 / school blouses/shirts/polo shirts £3.50 per pack - 2 packs for £3 - so make sure that you ask about the offers in your local stores.
    4. Hearing Caitlin shout out 'grandad' as she recognised where we were when the taxi pulled up outside my house to drop off my own shopping. Had to break the journey then so that she could go in to see OH.
    5. DD arrived back home again to say that she has a 5 week reprieve on the repossession of her house - so a bit more breathing space.
    6. Ordered takeaway for them all as DD had such a stressful day.
    7. Stayed for a chat with DD after the kids were in bed for the evening - we don't often get quiet time together.
    8. Had a couple of phonecalls during the day from people wanting to come on the trip to Blackpool.

    Wednesday
    1. Not a blessing - but what a change in the weather! A coach of 50 people and it was 'bouncing down' with rain when we got up!
    2. An uneventful journey but still raining and howling winds when we arrived. Everybody scattered to the nearest cafes.
    3. Spent the day on my own wandering around - rediscovering just WHY I've not been to Blackpool for about 15 years  - occasionally spotting a group of 'my lot' in various shops.
    4. Went in the Tower Building to [STRIKE]hide[/STRIKE] shelter for a few hours, up the Tower and walked on the glass floor - very brave Ollie :T.
    5. The rain stopped about an hour before we were due to leave.
    6. All back on time with no stragglers and most of them were smiling (could have been alcohol induced ;)) and the majority slept most of the way back home again. The sun was actually shining as we drove down the prom to leave!
    7. Got asked when is the next trip - oh dear! got to do it all over again .
    8. Didn't need to water any plants in the evening as the good Lord had done it for me in my absence - all day long!

Today looks as though it could be a lovely one - no rain or winds at the moment and a bright sky. Hope everybody has a good one :). love Ollie xxx
