1-I bought a whole box of Cherries from a market stall today,it cost £4.50. There really is so much nearly 2kilos!
2-Washed and dryed the above Cherries, put in stay fresh bag in the fridge.
3-Went into local Charity store and bought my sister a bag for £3-it was a Fiorelli-in new condition. Sister was very pleased with me and it was the first time i have bought anything from a Charity Store-so doubly pleased!

Good morning everyone :D My five for yesterday are:

    1. My Mum's face when she realised that we'd done a surprise lunch for her yesterday. I'd stuck banners up and she siad she'd never had a banner before so I was really pleased.

    2. The lovely sunshine all day.

    3. DS3 went to Manchester with a neighbour & her little girl and he brought me back a rubber he'd bought - bless.

    4. All the washing dreid & away by early afternoon :T

    5. Seeing DD finish the 3rd book in a series that I'd reccommended to her. It's a long time since I saw her so engrossed in a book.

I hope that everyone has a lovely day today with lots of blessings. (((((((hugs))))))) to anyone who needs one right now.

It's lovely to read everyone's choices! And sometimes it will remind me of things I'd maybe not noticed :o
    Here we go then....
    1. Lovely weather! We are so lucky that we don't have such extremes to contend with, even if we would prefer more of the yellow than the silver :p After all, it is the reason for having such Green & Pleasant Land around us.
    2. The offspring loving my craving of a chip-shop chips supper last night, so I didn't have to cook :D L-o-n-g time since we've had them!
    3. Getting my accounts up to date at long last.
    4. A call from my bestest best mate who moved to the other end of the world last year, to say they are coming down in 10 days time :jI can't wait! We talk at least once a week, but to actually see them in the flesh...
    5. The cuddle Pup-dawg gave me just around the time the world starts to quieten for the night.

Hoping you have a Day full of Smiles...

Nothing spectacular for me this week - just been plodding along and getting back into the swing of home/work again.

    1. Visit from DD with dgs1(8) and dgd2(20mths) during the week - dgd2 gave a massive grin and got all excited in her pushchair when she spotted me plus nearly got knocked off my feet by dgs1 as he threw himself at me - what a lovely welcome home!

    2. What a difference two weeks away can make - Dgd2 no longer drops to her knees to get around (she had been wandering around, upright on her knees, looking like Toulouse Lautrec) but she still 'walks like a docker/bouncer'! Also noticed a distinct difference in her speech - beginning to understand what she's asking for now.

    3. Can tell we're back home again, getting through an average of 1 loaf every 2 days! Was only using 1 a week while away!! So now back to buying cheapie bread for all that 'Tea and Toast' that gets made in this house!

    4. Two lovely new tenants for our scheme - the kind who want to get involved in things :D.

    5. We were disappointed with the visit to the service station on our return from Scotland (scheduled stop for the National Express coach on the journey). Sent them an e-mail complaining and have had an acknowledgement in return, with a promise to look into what went wrong. We paid £3.35 for an Individual Steak Pie (which was totally dried-up inside) and £2.85 for a Cumberland Sausage Roll (that disintegrated on being bitten) - but didn't discover that until we were back on the coach and on the road again. Should have had a 10% discount with a voucher that we received from the driver, but got told at the till that the voucher wouldn't work because I'd bought a sausage roll! Wonder what the outcome will be - but at least an acknowledgement is something.

    6. Enjoying being able to have the windows open during the day, though keeping curtains almost closed to try to stop any flies from getting into the living room/kitchen and keep the heat down inside.

    7. Stripped the throws off the sofas - washed, line-dried very quickly and back on again. Where does all that gunge come from? Hmmmm say no more - dgk's have been round this week - juice/crisps/jam butties/toast - thank God for sofa throws!!!

    8. Seedlings are coming along nicely - will soon be eating home-grown salad leaves mmmm. I also keep having a nibble at the coriander leaves every time I pass them. Need to do some more this weekend and transplant some others into bigger troughs.

    9. Havent done any baking for ages - may get some done later today, but it just seems a shame to spend time indoors with a hot oven.

    10. Have promised to have dgs1 later today for overnight and a day out tomorrow. Not sure where to take him yet. He'd had a promise to be taken 10 Pin Bowling that's fallen through, so may just do that with him though it would be a shame to waste a good day of sunshine. Best ask him what he would like to do.

Hope everybody is having a lovely OS money-saving weekend. Big (((((((Hugs))))))) to everybody who needs/wants one.

    love Ollie xxx

    Hi everyone.

    1. This is a long weekend for us so I get to spend an extra day with OH.

    2. The grapevine tells us that one of OH's friend is about to be recognised in the Queens Birthday Honours.

    3. DS and family are arriving to spend the next couple of days with us.

    4. Lovely long chat with a friend over coffee and muffins today, she popped round for a few minutes and stayed a couple of hours, but it was great to catch up with her.

    5. Finished another knitted jersey for littlest grandchild. Will now have to start on the others.

    Blessings be

    Jennie

Glad to see everyone's enjoying the weather :D
Here are my blessings and pleasures for the past couple of days:

    friday:
    1) It was our 1st year anniversary of moving house and we loved every single day living here.
    2) DH and I celebrated by having a clifftop walk and then back along the beach. 'Our' part of the coast is very wild and you can only get down to the beach by scrambling down the cliff so this is the first time this year that it's been suitable underfoot to do this. However, we were very dismayed to see the erosion since we last walked this way. There were mini clay/sand slides as we were walking too.
    3) The in-laws had the boys at the caravan park and the boys had a great time in the park's swimming pool for free.
    4) Star Wars club :D
    5) DS2 finally won something in the Star Wars raffle. There were only some old Videos left at the end - so he picked up a video about Hereford (bless him!).

    today:
    1) Couldn't afford to go to a car boot as a buyer so we decided to do one. Which meant that we made some money and had some money to buy some lovely things too!
    2) Another day at the swimming pool for DS1 & 2 with in-laws.
    3) Had a nice phone chat with my nephew.
    4) m-i-l made a delish chicken dinner with roast spuds and salad.
    5) The on-going fabulous weather.

Hope the rest of the weekend is filled with loveliness for you all.

A belated evening all, a busy day/evening here as I'm off at the crack of silly o'clock to visit DM in Oxon for her 88th birthday, then take her to Camber on Monday for a few inexpensive days holiday, courtesy of The Sun - the newspaper that is, not the beautiful bright glowy thing in the sky. Though I hope that lasts for a few more days too.

    Saturday blessings...

    1. Had the car valeted inside and out by 3 very courteous, consciencious men for the princely sum of £10. It doesn't look quite brand new but not at all bad for a 7 year-old :D

    2. Found the shower a neighbour told me about, I just have to tile higher above the bath, get a non-slip mat, a curtain pole and a shower curtain and I can use it . I think an ad on freecycle is called for...

    3. Last minute shop for my lodger, I've never seen so many people in a supermarket queue...each check-out was about 12 people long . Fortunately, and for a change, I chose the right one and was out quite quickly.

    4. The friend who came to supper last night brought me two lovely bunches of pink tulips, and as I'm going away tomorrow I gave them to my neighbours this pm, who were delighted with them.

    5. The house is spick and span (why do we always clean before we go away? In case there's a fire, of course!) and the garden pruned and trimmed, so shouldn't be too much work when I get back :D

Just going to pop into the bath before collapsing into bed for a few hours so I'll wish you all a good week with lots of blessings ((((hugs)))) to everyone, and stay safe
