    1) Going out with friends for coffee and dessert instead of a full meal and spending only half what it might have cost
    2) Finding some tomato plants at the local garden centre for 60p each - and three of the pots had two plants in
    3) Being given some wood by a friend who is a joiner
    4) Digging over part of my neglected garden in preparation for the alpine strawberry plants I brought from the last house
    5) Peanut butter cookies made from a recipe posted on MSE.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
    1) Having a lovely picnic with my OH, Mum and inlaws at Sissinghurst before walking around the gardens.
    2) Watering my budgeoning vegetable garden
    3) Thinking of ways to use up my pile of eggs from my chickens
    4) Going to Sainsburys cafe for lunch yesterday and friend using her 50% off voucher!
    5) Not being able to sleep (again!) but not minding as watching the sunrise is lovely!
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

I promise I did post yesterday but had a feeling it didn't 'work' as it went a bit higgledy-piggledy :undecided I'll try to remember what it was & add on a couple for yesterday, but won't swear to them being in chronological order ;)
    • The weather of course!
    • Ditto the cooling evening breeze.
    • Thoroughly relishing the cd I treated myself to! A very rare display of frivolous & totally selfish spending, but well worth it:D I cannot recall the last time I bought anything within days of launch, but to redeem some of my selfishness, it was purchased in MrT[points] & on the last day of the intro offer:o
    • House back on TV:j
    • Finally reaching the bottom of the linen baskets:eek:We've got six in total  all for various colours. I bought some of those plastic woven shopping bags in the largest size I could find & tied the handles to the bannister. It works well till the labels fall off:rotfl:
    • Finding the last two knicker-bocker-glory 'glasses' in the store, to go towards No1's ice cream hamper:T
    • Watching the pets bury their noses into respective chow! Iggy is a veggie but still a tad fussy, while I cook for Pup. He can lick the tomato sauce from baked beans & leave them looking like new, untouched, back on his plate--even if their mixed with mince:confused::laugh:
    • No1 was later coming home yesterday evening & Pup was beginning his dinner. His ears pricked up & he just lifted his head to listen, grabbed another mouthful of food & ran to the door. Had a quick greet then scooted back to his dinner so quickly he skidded on the kitchen floor & his rear ended up in the lounge :smileyhea

Oooo so much to do and so little time but mustn't let this thread slip.

    Yesterday's pleasures.

    1. Beautiful sunshine.

    2. Did all the ironing from Friday's washing extravaganza.

    3. Made Apple chutney. Chutney making seems to be my new hobby.

    4. Enormous cottage pie in the Remoska made from whoopsied mince, fed four adults and two children.

    5. Cuddles from the DGK's.

    Today's pleasures:-

    1. More lovely sunshine.

    2. Lovely ride out to Mr. A on (free) bus.

    3. Saving about £4 on whoopsies. Not a fortune but every little helps and if I stretch it to make it go twice as far.....,

    4. Finding a shop selling knitting wool/haberdashery/dress material and craft supplies, that I didn't know existed. I'll be back.

    5. A lovely long afternoon nap and a lazy afternoon.

    Bella.

Here are my five for today:

    1) Still hot but freshened by a cooling sea breeze here.
    2) Doing Geography with DS2 (aged 5) and he told me that he was going to point out the 'Leaking Tower of Pizza' on the map. I laughed so hard:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    3) Made some very naughty (but very nice) Vanilla Lemon Panna Cotta for me & DH.
    4) A very thorough tidying of our bedroom.
    5) Looking forward to sleep tonight in a freshly made bed.

    Mine for today
    1. Another warm day and a nice walk at lunchtime.
    2. A text from a friend whilst in work asking if I would like to go out for a meal tonight as a thank you for looking after her when she was ill a few weeks ago.
    3. A lovely meal in a posh restaurant but I insisted we booked a table for before 7 so that we could get the early doors menu - same food just a different price.
    4. Much cooler this evening so hopefully a better temperature for sleeping.
    5. Managing to finish a job at work that has been ongoing for weeks with too many interruptions. Finally completed it.

I've been very busy with the children, the garden & my parents over the last few days so haven't posted but here are mine for yesterday:

    1. Got all the washing dried by lunchtime as it was so hot.

    2. Lovely smelling bedding last night when I got in.

    3. Waking early & having chance to listen to the birds singing in the woods behind our house.

    4. Pasta saled for tea as it was too warm for pasta bake.

    5. The library have bought a book after I requested it on baking Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day. There's a thread on here about it so I'll be able to pick up lots of tips!
