Zarazara (((((((((big hugs)))))))))) & I'm glad you found a couple of pleasures hon.

    My five for today are:

    1. Getting up early (5am) mainly because DS1 had a coughing fit that required a warm juice (he has a cold) but as I can never go back to sleep once I've been downstairs I got lots done before 9am ;)

    2. The children all decided to 'bottom' their bedrooms this morning  :T with no prompting from me. Several bin bags went to the charity shop & some clothes to a neighbour with a younger child.

    3. DH bought me a lovely mug saying Domestic Goddess on it :o

    4. Watched a wood pigeon in a tree at the back of the house. It was fascinating.

    5. An anticipated pleasure of a bath & an early night with a book shortly.

((((hugs)))) to anyone who wants one & a pleasant evening to all xxx

4.Had another cosy day with DS laying under blankets, watching TV, playing games, making a crocodile out of egg boxes!!!

Aww Shucks! Thanks for the Welcome & that will be my No1 for Wednesday's list :p
    2. Unfortunately I had a funeral to attend yesterday, but it helped to reinforce the good memories I have of this person & others who have passed. The reverend was very good at emphasising the benefits of looking toward all the benefits of having known the person rather than concentrate on the sadness of their passing.
    3. Lovely No3 offspring came with me, even though it is a personal living nightmare to be around such a large group of people, & coped admirably. Officially, I "wasn't allowed to attend on my own" but No3 & a grandchild of the person are very good mates too.
    4. Proud Mummy Moment as the family of the person complimented my three & admired the way they conduct themselves with polite respect.*enter fluffed-up clucky Mother Hen smilie here!* :D
    5. Coming home from the service & being able to physically talk to my mum on the phone :o
    6. Realising just how many people have made a positive impact on my Life & will always remain in my heart.

    1. The rain has really greened up our lawn.
    2. First three strawberries ready for picking. We will have a
ceremonial tasting. (The plants are 4 years old now. They're
only recommended to last for 3, so this is a bonus year and
they are still laden with fruit).
    3. Pleasant evening out last night at one of our local
    organisations..
    4. Breakfast on the patio this morning and spotting one of the
Painted Lady butterflies currently on mass migration here
    fluttering around our garden.
  • I've posted here once before, but kinda struggled to find things (I was new at this!!). Well, I get it now! So here's my 5 OS pleasures from yesterday...

    1) Making bread rolls from scratch and impressing my Dad who 'doesn't do wholemeal' yet did yesterday and is now a convert!
    2) Making loaf cakes to give as gifts and experimenting with my own recipes - the cherry and almond 1 I made up was lush!
    3) Gardening in the rain! I just rediscovered the joys of gardening after a long absence.
    4) Enjoying freshly picked, home grown salad with my dinner. You really can taste the difference with shop bought stuff!
    5) Experimenting with a candle making kit I got in a charity shop and making some lovely candles for myself with enough stuff left over to make more and give as a gift.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you.:p

Hi, struggling to find any this week....

    1. the lovely rose plant bought for the garden (waiting to be planted so inside in the meantime to prevent anyone walking off with it).

    2. poached eggs from home kept chickens (always taste nicer somehow) given to us by a guest.

    3. new saucepans (a lovely present) they have draining lids so no need for colanders and sieves - easier and less washing up.

    .... um will keep thinking....
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

    Hi Everyone
Hugs to you BigMumma, it is really good that you managed to find positives in what many would see to be a negative.

    Mine for yesterday
    1. Booking tickets for DM and I to go to the ballet this weekend - paid for with theatre vouchers
    2. Coming home to DH and a steaming mug of tea after a rather cold walk from the station
    3. Getting all the ironing done - very satisfying if not exactly pleasurable at the time!
    4. Making risotto with cauliflower and chard from the veg box and it was lush - got a bit of a cauli glut at the mo so we're eating it with everything!
    5. Hearing some very good news from a friend about an excellent new job she landed, I'm so proud of her.

Hope everyone has a blessed day and get some sunny weather after the grimness of yesterday!

Hi to everyone & I hope that the weather is good where you are. My five for today are:

    1. Beautiful sunny afternoon after a cloudy morning.

    2. Making my Mum's birthday cake ready for icing tomorrow before her surprise birthday buffett lunch. She's had a tough year so far with one thing or another so needs a little surprise & treat.

    3. Not waking up this morning until 10am such an unusual occurence it is definitely a pleasure.

    4. Being under budget by £80 on May's grocery challenge. The extra has gone into savings which is something that we used to have [STRIKE]very little [/STRIKE]none of :T

    5. Anticipated pleasure of 3 hours of ER tonight for the last ever episode

I wish everyone a very pleasant evening to come.
