Five OS Pleasures in your day today

Been feeling a bit tired and overwhelmed this week so hence the lack of posts. Nothing wrong really, just lost my rhythm for a few days, not helped by DS having a growth spurt and DD gettting up at the crack of dawn every day (must find my blackout blinds)
My pleasures today have been:- Playgroup
- Finding lots of whoopsies at Mr T's today, my freezer is now half full again
- Cuddles with DD and DS
- Receiving my M&S parcel containing clothes for the children and bra's for myself (normally hideously expensive because i am an odd size), using several discount codes garnered from these boards, reducing my total outlay by over 30%
- Getting my boots back from the cobblers looking as good as new, only £20, much cheaper than replacing them (they were purchased back in the day when we had a dual income and no children and could actually spend guilt free
)
Sleep well

Nice to see such a busy thread.
1. Using up leftovers. Last night's sausage and mash leftovers became sausage sarnies for lunch today and the mash and leftover veg were all eaten tonight.
2. YS lamb joint reduced from £6 to £1.50 for tea with leftover veg as above and brocolii from the garden.
3. Digging out last summer's clothes and finding they fit. :j
4. Perfume making with Dtwins in the garden.
5. Bedtime stories and cuddles with my girls.
6. Realising after a rubbish evening that no matter how much people upset you it all feels better after a glass of wine in the garden watching the sun set over the sea.
Take care all. xxx0 -

Bella you made me smile, saying I'm the backbone makes me sound like the Territorial Army :rotfl:. In fact we're each a vertebrae holding it up jointly (pun intended
)
kiwi I always have the most needy rescues, the love they return once they can overcome their trauma is unbelievable.
It must be freezer sorting day shopndrop, I did the same and found a tub of 'Tom'n'Jerrys' icecream, which is no more. The diet lasted 2 days, not bad for me
Tuesday blessings...
1. Hanging the laundry out, had to hold on to the line or I'd have got blown away but it all dried before the showers came
2. Digging out Paul McKenna's book I Can Make You Thin and losing probably 2lb by pulling the stereo system out trying to connect the speakers, pulling the sofa out so I can untangle the speaker wires, and moving the dining furniture around so the stereo is near an electric socket, all so that I can listen to the accompanying cd
3. DGD2 asking me to help her with the family tree she's doing, when her mum has already taken it back to the 17th century. DGD2 says I'll remember more than her mum does - not sure how to take that!
4. A phone call from a friend in my fellowship who lives near the Yorkshire Dales, inviting me and the dog to stay for a few days. I've had so many invitations this year I'll almost be away more than I'm at home if I accept them all
5. Another ns day, that's two in a row. It's been quite a successful day moneywise as I received my bank statement and they've given me a whopping 3p interest. Anyone up for a party?! _party_
Night night, God bless all and sweet dreams

I don't post on this thread but I read it and my pleasures seem silly but here goes.
1) buying honeycomb locally and eating it on toast at dinner time.
2) sitting in the sun watching a bird escape from next doors cat.
3) handpainting clay pots.
4) the smell of my own bread.
5) hearing neighbours children laughing.0 -
1.Going out shopping LOOKING for temptation then realising I had left my purse behind and having just as good a time just looking.
2. Finding a new book on budget cooking that I wanted in library (I would probably have bought it in my looking for temptation wanderings). Have reserved another one for £1 using the small change I found in the bottom of my bag
3. Cooking a whole pack of kidney beans in the pressure cooker and freezing them in small quantities to add to precooked frozen mince in tomato sauce along with some chilli powder to give me a choice of spag bol or chilli from freezer (don't really like beans and a whole small tin is too big)
4. Digging a bit more of the allotment and getting up all the roots I could.
5. Putting some CDs on my IPOD so I can listen to it while diggingIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
I was just about to post this morning when the plumber arrived, so glad he did as we had woken up this morning to a leak from the cold tank in the airing cupboard - lots of soggy towels.
My pleasures yesterday were:-
1. DD picked me up and took me to Mr. M. so glad she did because it threw it down.
2. Made apple and mint chutney in the microwave - lovely but only made two jars and one was a thank you gift and the other part of a hostess gift so will need to make more for us.
3. Used some of my crafting stuff to decorate the labels for the jars so I can use my stuff even though my card making exploits have come to an end. Trying to be positive because I am really sad about this.
4. Yummy tea of diced ox heart £1.09 pack from Mr. M and enough for another meal for us.
5. Watching Gardener's World on iplayer.
And today's pleasures:-
1. The plumber came within 1 hour of me calling and had done the job at a reasonable price within ten minutes.
2. A nice sunny morning dried all the wet towels.
3. The one spoonful of apple and mint chutney I managed to save for myself on a little bit of chicken and a plateful of home grown leaves - yum.
4. Homemade yogurt with a spoonful of homemade lemon curd.
5. Getting the lawns cut just before the heavens opened.
