How did you manage to do this? I always end up throwing some of mine away?0 -
Let's see, mine are:
1. Getting my tax refund for 2008/09 - not much, but every little helps!
2. Finding an online source of replacement kitchen doors which hopefully means my kitchen can be revamped at not too vast an expense!
3. Making a big pot of golden lentil soup to have for tomorrow's lunch with a homemade roll.
4. Yummy HM butterbean bake for tea with veg and garlic gravy.
5. Enjoying HM toast and yoghurt for lunch.
That'll do - not a bad day at all really...:jLife is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
Shopndrop I took the plant out of it's pot, divided it up into 6 plants, and put them in individual pots of compost, hey presto, 6 basil plants.

1) DS's finger may not be broken after all.
2) DD coming in from work (local cafe, lovely man) and sitting down to sing with DS and friends from church without complaining. Very brave and she sounded lovely
3) Chilli for tea. It's always better on the second day
4) Quick snooze after work. I didn't mean to, honest. I just thought, well, I'll just lay down here for a minute
5) More money than I thought in the house keeping. I must have done something wrong so it'll catch up with me but it looks good at the moment0 -
Yesterdays:
1) DS1 was finally referred to a physiotherapist who told us that there were no problems with his hips but that he may suffer from fallen arches later on - but nothing too serioius so that was a huge relief.
2) DH is now off for the rest of the week so looking forward to more time spent with him.
3) Rather than cooking an OS meal from scratch we all had a mix n match tea of 'whoopsies' from Mr M - which was quite nice for a change.
4) My haircut turned out just how I imagined and was half the price of the place I used to go to.
5) Good tv on a weds evening - although my eyes were drooping halfway through The Apprentice.DFW Nerd 941 Proud to be dealing with my debt

Good evening everyone,
My five for today are:
1. My Dad has come home so he'll be able to rest & recuperate much better now :T
2. Having the dog sat next to me on the sofa this afternoon - we had a lovely sneaky cuddle.
3. My DS3 ran in the door after school & threw himself into my arms - I'm making the most of moments like these as he's my youngest and goes to high school in September. He'll soon be 'too cool' to hug his Mum very often.
4. I got the ironing up to date so it only takes 20 mins each day now.
5. Anticipated pleasure of a hot bubble bath very shortly.
((((hugs)))) to all that need them at the moment & blessings to you all xxx0 -
Hello all. Lovely to read your daily pleasures.
Mine lately
1. seeing bluebells flowering by the path into work
2. seeing my little flower seedlings begin to pop their heads through
3. made a big pot of spag bol sauce tonight with half a lb of mince and loads of other things - carrots, courgettes, handful of oatmeal etc - we'll have it tomorrow so that will mean no cooking
4. enjoyed reading more of my book
5. message from library that 2 books I've ordered are in - one is a PD James which will be good, and the other is the India Knight Thrift book which has had mixed reviews.
Night night all. Hoping you all have a peaceful sleep

shopndrop congratulations for driving in London, I don't have that much nerve although I'll happily drive abroad. Strange
SunnyGirl 20 mins ironing a day? I shouldn't think I do that in a month! Although I did go through the family/uniform/work shirt thing for many years in the past there's only me now thank goodness, as I loathe ironing
((((hugs)))) to Teresita, jollymummy and all who need them
Thursday blessings...
1. A no spend day, one of my favourite kind
2. A neighbour has offered to come in and do a few small jobs for me, the sort that need brawn rather than brain...he said no payment but we'll see about that
3. A face mask and some moisturiser in the post. Not sure why I keep getting these things that promise improvements, I've been trying for 40+ years and no joy yet!
4. Finished the cushion and mini bolster I was making for the spare bedroom. The fabric came from an old chintz curtain and the tassels from a redundant cushion I've now given to the cats.
5. An email telling me Homebase now give/take Nectar, good news as it's my nearest DIY store and I'll need to go there for some bits so my neighbour can complete the jobs for me.
Night night, God bless all and sweet dreams
