Sunnygirl, I hope your dad makes a good speedy recovery.

    2. Spending the day out with all my family
    3. Cherishing the time with family and laughing at the kids.
    4. Us all pulling together to support mum.
    5. The fact that my freezer is full so I haven't had to think too much about food for me and OH the last few days.

Hugs to all those that need them.

Horrible day here but a day off all the same.

    1. A bit of a lie in this morning!!
    2. The day with the 3 men in my life (well part of it OH was out last nite!)
    3. Getting £50 cashback on my mobile upgrade and complaining till I got a good deal on my tariff.
    4. People on this board helping me get organised for future baking.
    5. Playing with my new phone. Need new ringtones now!!

Back to work tomorrow so here is hoping I get 5 pleasures but am definately putting in for reduced hours. Fingers crossed my boss goes for it!
Although I get lonely  as a single mother there are always two smiling angels ready to give me the biggest hug in the world. Love you babies :grouphug:

Fear is a disease....Hope is it's only cure!
  • Newlywed Lots of hugs from across the world. I know theres nothing that can be said to ease this time, but our thoughts are with you.
SunnygirlI hope your Dad is back with you soon.
    My five pleasures.

    1. I got so much of the huge vegetable garden weeded. Life just seemed to come to a standstill with Oh's illness, now things are coming right I can look at the garden with new eyes (and cringe!)

    2. Started cleaning the greenhouse ready for winter planting.

    3. Made chicken pie for tea (with leftovers) and OH said he liked my hm pastry much better than the shop bought one.

    4. Cold evening so we lit the wood burner and watched the flames.

    5. Another sunny day here today so I will be able to make more progress in the gardens

    Blessings be

    Jennie

Good evening everyone. I've been feeling somewhat frazzled & stressed today, as has my Mum, but we've been keeping each other going. Found out yesterday that my MIL was admitted to the same cardiac care unit as my Dad! She's had a heart attack and her diabetes is off the wall but the nursing staff are being wonderfully patient with her :A

    My five for today are:

    1. My family, all of them even though we don't always see eye to eye. We are still always here for each other.

    2. Having a joke with the children regarding early bedtimes! That obviously didn't happen

    3. Seeing my Dad looking more rested after a good nights sleep again.

    4. Seeing my MIL off her drips so she can move around a little more.

    5. My Dad telling me that he walked up the ward, assisted by a nurse as they won't let any patients go anywhere on their own, and sat with a sleeping MIL holding her hand & stroking her hair. I was so touched as they're the same age but not overly close. We lost FIL at christmas and MIL gets so lonely sometimes despite us all.

I'll be keeping busy tomorrow as it's operation day for Dad and he'll be going to Manchester Royal at 7am & we aren't allowed to go with him. I made a menu plan & shopping list with Mum this evening so we'll go shopping and dust & vac through her house.

Pleasant dreams and many, many blessings to you all xxxx

We finally made it to the park with dgs1 and managed to avoid most of the usual Bank Holiday rain - but it got us in the end :(. The blessing is that I got some exercise that I wouldn't have had if we'd stayed at home lol!

Just to let you all see the results of Nathan's recent events concerning his teeth! We now await the dentist's verdict on what remains of the broken one :(!

I did exactly this at age 10! I was skipping round a pole in the playground at school & slipped, bit through my bottom lip and broke the tooth in exactly the same place as Nathan. After having my lip stitched the tooth was left until I was 15 & due to be a bridesmaid when my Dad paid privately for it to be crowned

Hopefully that won't be the case for your DGS now Ollie as I assume dentistry has moved on somewhat since 1981 ;)

I just can't believe that those teeth - only put back in place 3 weeks ago after being knocked out completely - took another knock that was hard enough to break one of them, without them coming out again !
