Hi everyone. Hope that everyone is ok? Sparrer - I hope that you feel better after making a difficult decision like that. It's never easy even when it is for the best in the long run.

    My five for today are

    1. Someone contacted me with a lovely, thoughtful idea for a friend.

    2. Another lovely sunny day.

    3. DH brought chippy home for tea as a treat so no cooking :D for once.

    4. Waking up this morning to the sound of DS2 singing to himself in his room.

    5. Chatting to DD about men & the meaning of life in general not that we got to the bottom of it all :rotfl:

(((((((((((big hugs))))))))))))) to anyone who would like one or is feeling grotty & have a pleasant evening.

Hi Everyone:hello:I've not been around for a day or two, I'm always otherwise engaged at the weekend and then it takes me ages to carch up.

My Pleasures for the last day or so:-

    1. Eating my first home grown radishes of the season.

    2. Sowing more seeds to ensure a steady flow of saladings.

    3. Impromptu visit form DD and the DGK's

    4. Very cheap lunch out with DD as M & S were giving samples of brie baguette so we made that count as part of lunch and shared a pack of sandwiches so very :money:

    5. Finally sorting out our finances for retirement and finding that in DH's words, we will be comfortable.

    Bella.

  • Had a busy weekend here with mine and DH's anniversary so have accumulated a list of pleasures since my last visit :)
    1. Using a voucher from a Sunday newspaper to drastically reduce the cost of our special anniversary lunch (with children) at Cafe Rouge.
    2. Hanging my washing out on the line all weekend, got loads done.
    3. Playgroup with DD & DS today, for the pricely sum of £1.20 :)
    4. Making one of my fellow mummies cry at playgroup today, she was having a tough time as her 2 year old lad is having trouble adapting to life as an elder brother and i thought she looked like she needed a hug, cup of tea and a chat. Apparently other mummies have avoided her like the plague lately because of her DS's behaviour and my gesture "made her week".
    5. Cuddles with DS on the sofa this afternoon, as DD was "busy drawing mummy, go away" LOL and i felt that housework could wait :)
    6. Homemade meatballs and BOGOF pasta sauce for dinner, and making enough to freeze an extra couple of portions for next week.
Hugs to all who need them

    :hello: - hi all

    - glad to hear your ds is improving, scousewife. I gave an extra cheer for you during the Everton/Man U game on Sunday ;).
    - enjoy your programme, kaz665; fingers crossed that nobody snitches the story-line to you :).
    - congratulations on your improved relationship, Lelc - good to hear of somebody who's 'been there and come out the other side' better and stronger :T.
    - mmm, SunnyGirl - chippy tea! Which reminds me, bit off topic, but have a listen to this :D: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kG1wJT4aA78&feature=related - they're from my home town of St.Helens ;).
    - well done, bella :j- first harvest of the year ;) - fresh picked radishes!
    - such a lovely gesture for you to comfort the poor woman at play group, scrummymummy. So easy for us to forget the problems that littl'uns have settling down with younger brothers/sisters arriving - he's only 2 for goodness sake - still a babe himself. My no.2 was 13mths when no.3 arrived - luckily first viewed through a toughened glass window in Special Care Baby Unit. He launched himself at the window banging and screaming 'my mummy - MINE!' - scared me rigid it did!

    Today's blessings for me:
    1. Woke up feeling very refreshed this morning - had a great night's sleep.
    2. Managed to get through the dreaded paperwork - hate that part of my job!
    3. Managed to have a great chat to new tenant who is decorating one of our bungalows prior to moving in. He's doing a great job as it needed 'ciggie smell' removing - the whole place looks and smells much better now.
    4. Walking around all 'my properties' putting notes through letterboxes this afternoon in the sunshine. Great to see people sitting in their gardens and enjoying the good weather.
    5. Whopsied Cumberland Sausages (67p!), mash and buttered cabbage for evening meal tonight - absolutely delicious .

Think I'll head for an early night - and a bit more of my book just to 'tire my eyes out'!

nitey nite all  - love Ollie xxx

ps (((((hugs))))) for anybody who needs/wants one ;)/

Just a quick one tonight as my eyes are asleep before the rest of me...

    Tuesday blessings...

    1. Had to go to the farm shop to buy a new washer for the tap/hose connector, but they didn't have one so it's been put on order. The blessing is I got out of there without spending any money on plants, though my DK's will never believe me as they say I must have shares in the place by now :D

    2. I've now got 'THE ENVELOPE' with passport, tickets and money together, ready for Saturday. DGD2 is getting very excited now - and so am I :o

    3. Tasty, healthy dinner of cod fillets and hm stir fry which was surprisingly filling, followed by fresh fruit. I need use up all the fresh stuff before Saturday so I shan't need to spend anything on food for the rest of this week :T

    4. Found a cute little wind-up butterfly in the local pharmacy which flaps it's wings as it runs along. DM will love it, she's got butterflies everywhere in her home so will send it off to keep her amused ;)

    5. Getting through the day only using the inhaler once. Whoopee! This weather is certainly just right for me :j

Night night everybody, sweet dreams and ((((hugs)))) to all...

Here's a pleasure I should have put on last night's list.

DH telling me that the direct debit for gas and leccy is now £20 less than a year ago. I think that's pretty good taking into account all the price rises.

Another pleasure:- knowing that all the shivvering and belt tightening has worked to bring about our 'comfortable' status in retirement.

And yet another:- pulling two old dresses out and finding that despite my middle(?) age spread they still fit me so that's two dresses I didn't think I could wear - feels like a whole new wardrobe.

DH now has only 30 actual days to work before he retires in June God Willing, so the pleasure in that is that I no longer will have endless days alone in the house

Might be along with my daily 5 later. Hope everyone has a good day.

This did make me giggle, poor little soul, i hope your DS is all recovered now ;)

Thankfully, DD loves being an older sister (she was 2 when her brother was born 3 months ago) and apart from a slight regression with bottles, dummies and night times it's been quite smooth so far, another OS blessing for me :)

Hi, I'm back again so soon with my pleasures today:-

    1. An unexpected trip to the Wool Shop with DD found me buying yarn to make a white summer cardigan to go with one of my 'unearthed' dresses.

    2. Was just about to buy a craft box for DGD in a large stationery chain for £5.99 when a kind lady told me that they had them in HB for £2.99:T

    3. A long afternoon spent knitting to try to finish one of the cardigans I'm doing for DGD so that I can start my own very soon.

Think that's all but I can't be greedy can I as I have already posted some pleasures for today.
